We are now looking for an Area Manager to join our Trade team.
Your role
As Area Manager, you will act as the commercial link between the market and the vessel, driving pricing excellence, optimizing vessel capacity, and ensuring the competitiveness of our services in your assigned area. You will have a key role in influencing commercial strategy and achieving performance targets.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders, global agents, and customers, contributing to market insights, pricing decisions, and sales support activities.
This is a permanent full-time position within a global and dynamic organization. The salary range for the role is 1800-2500 euros/month gross. The final salary is determined based on your experience and readiness to work in an independent sales role.
What are you going to do?
Your work will consist of versatile and impactful commercial tasks. For example, you will:
Implement and drive the Line’s commercial and pricing strategy within your area
Act as the main point of contact for agents and clients regarding quotation requests and commercial matters
Optimize vessel utilization and contribute to overall profitability
Monitor market trends and competitor activity and provide actionable insights
Track and analyze KPIs and prepare performance reports for your region
Support the development of sales budgets and analyze variances with improvement proposals
Who are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate has:
A Master’s degree in Business, Transport, Logistics, or a similar field
Experience in a commercial, pricing, or marketing role, preferably within shipping or logistics
Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data (especially Excel)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a commercial mindset
Fluent written and spoken English; English is the official company language
