Job Description

Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

About The Job

As Global Service Sales Manager, you will lead the global service sales agenda and play a key role in accelerating profitable growth across our markets. You will set the strategic direction, strengthen our service offering and enable Sales Companies to identify and convert opportunities across the installed base. Working across functions and geographies, you will combine commercial leadership, customer insight and strong execution to build a scalable and competitive global service business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Global Service Sales team, setting clear priorities and direction to drive profitable growth and strengthen global service coverage and opportunity generation.

  • Develop and execute global service sales strategies and business plans, grounded in a strong understanding of markets, customers, competitors and the installed base.

  • Drive opportunity generation and growth across Sales Companies, leveraging installed base analysis, KAM focus and targeted commercial initiatives.

  • Shape and strengthen the global service offering across industries and applications, including lifecycle solutions, in close collaboration with Service Portfolio Management and aligned with the Service vision and governance.

  • Drive strategic pricing and commercial models to ensure a competitive offering and sustainable business profitability.

  • Influence and support Sales Companies to ensure effective service execution and seamless customer experience that strengthens customer loyalty and drives growth.

  • Identify and lead strategic initiatives that strengthen the service business and enable sustainable, long-term growth.

  • Drive commercial and technical competence development across the organization, ensuring the right capabilities to support market and customer needs.

  • Ensure effective global commercial and technical support, enabling Sales Companies to successfully develop and convert service opportunities.

At Alfa Laval, we embrace a hybrid work model, providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. This position is at our Søborg office, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 25 –35 days per year.

What You Know

  • Proven experience in sales leadership, preferably with responsibility for driving sales performance across a central organization or regional sales companies.

  • An engineering degree or equivalent technical background, combined with solid commercial and sales experience.

  • Experience with service sales and service contracts, ideally within an industrial B2B environment.

  • Experience from industries such as Water, Food & Beverage, Pharma, Oil & Gas, or other process industries is an advantage.

  • Strong understanding of service business models, customer needs, and value-based selling.

About You

You bring very strong business acumen and a natural ability to identify, pursue and convert opportunities. You are commercially driven and take a proactive “hunter” mindset, while remaining structured and detailed in your approach to sales planning, financials, forecasting and performance. You are a strong leader and influencer, able to engage and align people both within your own team and across the wider organization, including M&PM, Capital Sales and Sales Companies. You build strong relationships, create momentum and bring stakeholders together around common goals. You are independent and confident in your decision-making, taking ownership and accountability for your actions while remaining agile and focused on delivering results.
