SLB is currently looking for IT Interns to work as Global Service Desk Analysts in their Global Business Services office in Petaling Jaya. As a Global Service Desk Intern, you will be expected to provide first/second level technical and administrative support for issues related to Laptops and associated hardware/software, IP Telephony, Connectivity, Security, Servers, and Real-time operations.
The work timings will be in 9 hour shifts covering 9 AM until midnight. The Work Week is 5 days per week with a 2-day weekend that will rotate between Fri-Sat and Sat-Sun.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provides first line investigation and diagnosis for incidents
  • Resolves and closes incidents/service requests as per help desk procedures & allocated timelines
  • Escalates unresolved incidents/service requests within agreed timescales
  • Logs relevant incident/service request details per help desk procedures
  • Communicates with client regarding incident progress
  • Ensures tickets are up to date at all times until issues are resolved
  • Completes assigned IT training roadmap
  • Complies with QHSE and IT policies including continuous improvement initiatives
  • Liaises with clients, other SLB IT support groups and 3rd party providers when necessary

Qualification and Experience:

  • Currently undertaking Bachelor of Information System, Computer Science, Information System or Computer Engineering.
  • Proficiency in additional languages such as Mandarin, Arabic, or French is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, reading, writing, speaking.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on shifts, and on public holidays.

Working Arrangements & Hour:

  • Following the BlueFlex policy.
  • Covering three shifts in KL: 9 AM to 6 PM, 12 PM to 9 PM, and 3 PM to 12 AM. Usually for the interns, they are required to work starting from 12 PM to 9 PM.
  • Arabic-speaking intern needs to start working on Sunday to Thursday.
