We are currently seeking a Global Senior Product Manager – Strategic Partnerships to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy!

Vertiv is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Global Senior Product Manager – Strategic Partnerships to drive growth within the Thermal Business Unit (BU), with a focus on the Thermal Systems Product Line (PL). This role is critical in managing business and OEM Partnerships, as well as integrating partner products into the broader Thermal Systems portfolio.

A key area of emphasis will be the heat reuse and on-site power generation technologies, including absorption and natural gas chillers, along with other solutions across the complete Thermal Chain.

The successful candidate will work on strategic business development initiatives by collaborating cross-functionally with global key customers, regional sales teams, engineering, advanced development, PMO, and external partners. This individual will proactively build and nurture strategic alliances to expand Vertiv’s footprint in data centers, particularly in support of the rapid growth in AI-driven giga-scale deployments.

As Global Senior Product Manager – Strategic Partnerships, you will oversee partner product portfolios, support business growth, and lead efforts to identify, evaluate, and integrate third-party technologies that complement Vertiv’s Thermal solutions.

What kind of work will you be doing?

  • Develop deep insights into customer needs and desired outcomes through extensive market, customer, and channel research to identify, evaluate, and pursue new market opportunities across the thermal chain that align with Vertiv’s strategic growth objectives.
  • Define partnership requirements and collaborate with other product lines to ensure alignment on technology integration and go-to-market strategies.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic technology partners, managing end-to-end partnership lifecycle from initial engagement to integration and ongoing relationship management.
  • Develop and execute business cases for new partnerships and emerging technologies-including heat reuse, on-site power generation, and absorption/natural gas chillers.
  • Manage strategic partnerships with technology providers and drive New Product Development & Introduction (NPDI) activities to complete the product offering and successfully launch OEM products to the sales organization.
  • Enable sales success through partner-focused training, sales tools, and commercial support aligned with newly integrated offerings.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on partner technologies and Thermal Systems applications, representing Vertiv at global and regional industry events to promote partnerships, build relationships, and gather market intelligence.
  • Engage in key customer meetings and support Build Your Own Power & Cooling (BYOP&C) initiatives as needed, with a focus on partner-integrated solutions.

What will make you successful?

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, business development, strategic technical partnerships, alliance management, preferably within the thermal, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven track record in establishing and managing strategic alliances, partnership negotiations, and OEM integrations.
  • Strong understanding of emerging thermal technologies and energy systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization, both internally and with external partners.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset combined with strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Global experience or exposure to international markets is preferred.
