Location

This role is open globally, with preferred locations in Helsinki (Finland), Mannheim (Germany), Singapore, and Sesto San Giovanni (Italy). Candidates based outside these locations will also be carefully considered. The work model is hybrid #LI-hybrid.

Are you an experienced industry influencer ready to drive global growth? We are seeking a Global Segment Manager, HVACR to expand our market share by building and leading dedicated sales organizations worldwide.

In this role, you'll focus on driving business growth globally in support of ABB's HVACR Drives product portfolio. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to demonstrate superior sales leadership, while working with a global leader in the HVACR business.

Reports to: Division Head of Sales, Motion Drive Products

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate significant domain expertise in HVACR go-to-market trends and standards across main markets
• Define, plan, and implement profitable growth strategies with HVAC Channel and Strategy teams
• Quantify and validate served and available markets and associated trends
• Ensure future product requirements and trends are identified and understood in the organization
• Build relationships with regional and country leadership to secure mutually agreeable investment in HVAC-specific activities and resources
• Identify and prioritize major accounts and opportunities in the segment
• Uphold ethical standards and company policy compliance
• Foster a customer-centric environment that embraces customer needs
• Communicate customer needs to appropriate leadership for region-specific products or application variants
• Lead preparation and delivery of marketing activities
• Support trade shows and industry associations as needed
• Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in a complex B2B environment selling products or solutions
• Extensive sales and HVACR application background
• Proven sales leadership experience
• Demonstrated ability to sell technical solutions and services
• Account management history with OEMs and Channel Partners in the HVAC industry
• Ability to lead, influence, mentor, and guide sales professionals across regions and countries
• Strong understanding of customer needs with excellent presentation skills
• Fluent English (spoken and written) with strong communication abilities
• Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, PowerBI)
• Willingness to travel internationally ( 30%)
