Job Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Under the direction of the GSOC Manager, follow established SOPs, processes, and operations of the GSOC and ensure policies, procedures and objectives align with client goals.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization while functioning as a team player.
  • Apply established best practices to identify, assess, and support all incidents that have actual or potential impact to business assets, employees, visitors, or the organization’s brand. Demonstrate the ability to recognize issues, apply security training and procedures, and execute defined response protocols effectively.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication of incident details, actions taken, and outcomes to leadership and relevant stakeholders, in accordance with escalation and reporting guidelines.
  • Must be comfortable assisting in emergency incidents or times of crisis under pressure and time constraints.
  • Perform analysis of security reports, post orders, security logs, and other security correspondence, and take action to ensure that the GSOC is delivering maximum value to Crane Logistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments, and effectively manage deadlines.
  • Must be professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion; must have proven ability to maintain correspondence, discussions, and materials in strictest confidence.
  • Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls from employees, outside vendors, law enforcement, and the local sites via telephone, email, technology platform alert, or other systems; must be able to escalate critical event information to the GSOC manager.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security studies or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum five years’ experience within a GSOC, Security Communications center, or call center environment. Background in military, law enforcement, Emergency dispatch, or intelligence is a plus.
  • Experience with persistent threat monitoring, video, camera monitoring, alarm response, asset monitoring, escalation protocols and matrices, security technology suites (COP, SIEM, SOAR), and the ability to discern urgency comma priority comma and scope of alerts and threats.
  • 5-7 years working in a GSOC environment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency; ability to action task and communicate to a range of audiences; ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively within a dynamic environment; ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills, research skills, and basic investigative skills.
  • Demonstration of strong computer skills.
