The opportunity

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global SCM Training Leader for the Business Unit Transformers to join our global training and supply chain community. In this role, you will define and drive the strategic direction, development, and deployment of Supply Chain Management (SCM) training programs across the business unit. You will play a key role in strengthening supply chain capabilities, enabling business performance, and supporting standardization, transformation, and continuous improvement across regions and functions.

How you`ll make an impact

  • Define and implement the SCM training strategy and roadmap aligned with Business Unit supply chain priorities and transformation initiatives
  • Design, develop, and deploy global SCM training programs, ensuring consistency, scalability, and operational relevance for global, regional and factory teams
  • Establish specific KPIs to measure effectiveness, impact, and continuous improvement of learning initiatives in line with Hitachi Energy SCM functional and BU Training governance
  • Collaborate with SCM leaders, Subject Matter Experts, and global/regional stakeholders to identify capability gaps and ensure technical accuracy of training content
  • Support the adoption of standardized SCM processes, tools, and best practices through structured learning solutions
  • Drive a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing across the SCM community
  • Promote innovative learning approaches and digital solutions to enhance engagement and learning effectiveness

Your background

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, training, learning & development, or a related functional leadership role
  • Proven experience in designing, deploying, and governing global training programs within complex, matrix organizations
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end SCM processes, including sourcing, planning, logistics, supplier management, and sustainability
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across global and regional teams
  • Analytical mindset with experience in defining KPIs, measuring training impact, and driving continuous improvement
  • Digital and technology savviness in managing and executing training using modern digital and AI-enabled technologies
  • Ability to work effectively in an international environment and manage multiple projects/initiatives in parallel with proven track record of successfully managed projects
