Job Description

Within Financial Intitution desk of IMI CIB Paris Branch, this role is responsible for leading the coverage and development of key Financial Institutions relationships in France, with a focus on driving revenue growth and delivering the full spectrum of Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) solutions.
The position combines senior client relationship management with business origination and execution responsibilities, operating as a central point of coordination across product lines and geographies. The successful candidate will contribute to strengthening the bank’s franchise in the French FI market.

What you'll be doing

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining strong, senior-level relationships with major French banking counterparties
  • Identifying, originating and executing business opportunities across lending, trade finance, capital markets, and structured solutions
  • Driving cross-selling initiatives by leveraging the Group’s full product capabilities
  • Leading transaction execution and coordinating multidisciplinary deal teams across jurisdictions
  • Providing clients with strategic insights on funding diversification, balance sheet optimization and market conditions
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor positioning and regulatory developments to inform commercial strategy
  • Supporting credit processes, pricing discussions, and internal approvals in coordination with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensuring close collaboration with international hubs, particularly Milan and London, to maximize synergies and delivery efficiency

Who we are looking for

We would be pleased to hear from you if you have:

  • At least 10 of years of experience in FI coverage within a Corporate or Investment Banking environment;
  • Demonstrated track record in originating and executing capital markets and structured financing transactions;
  • Strong understanding of bank balance sheets, treasury functions, and funding strategies;
  • In-depth knowledge of funding instruments (e.g. securitization, repos, fund financing, loan-on-loan structures);
  • Solid grasp of regulatory frameworks (Basel III/IV, capital ratios, liquidity requirements, MREL);
  • Proven ability to structure and lead complex, multi-product transactions;
  • Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to build and maintain senior client relationships;
  • Fluency in English and French required; Italian is a plus
