Job Description

This is a role that combines end-to-end ownership with hands-on execution: you will be accountable for the global operating model and the day-to-day delivery of a critical regulatory reporting service. It’s a high-impact position at the intersection of regulatory rigor, operational excellence, and transformation—shaping how the service runs globally today and how it evolves for the future.

As an Executive Director and Global Operations Lead within Payments Regulatory Reporting Operations, you will serve as the global anchor for regulatory reporting operations, partnering with regional operations leads across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas to ensure consistent delivery, issue management, change execution, and governance. The regulatory reporting function is embarking on an innovative transformation process with significant investment in AI. You will be at the forefront of executing this multiyear transformation, making it an exciting time to lead this organization. You will also build strong, outcome-oriented partnerships with Technology, Compliance, Controls, Legal, and key business stakeholders across Payments and broader lines of business to deliver timely reporting, strong data quality, and sustained exam readiness.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead a global organization responsible for regulatory reporting operational execution, including staffing, performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Own the global operating model, including governance forums, operating procedures, standards, and controls that enable consistent regional execution.
  • Drive strategic change in partnership with Technology (automation, platform modernization, and process simplification), ensuring measurable reduction in manual effort and operational risk.
  • Manage regulatory-driven change, including interpretation support, implementation planning, and controlled execution of complex changes across regions.
  • Strengthen the data and controls environment, including identification and remediation of data quality issues and upstream dependencies, with clear ownership and sustainable fixes.
  • Ensure exam and RFI readiness, coordinating horizon scanning, responses to regulators/supervisors, and delivery of evidence with a clear audit trail.
  • Partner with the business on product and market initiatives where regulatory reporting obligations are impacted, ensuring operational readiness and adherence to global frameworks.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in operations leadership and/or regulatory-related roles within financial services, including managing teams and complex delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of payments products, flows, and core systems/applications that support payments processing and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading regulatory change and operating in a controlled environment (controls, audit, compliance partnership).
  • Proven ability to lead through influence with senior stakeholders; strong written and verbal communication.
  • Expertise in delivering tech driven strategic change at scale
  • Program and execution management capability: prioritization, governance, dependency management, and delivery under tight deadlines.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience engaging with regulators/supervisors and familiarity with supervisory frameworks relevant to payments and transaction banking.
  • Background in payments operations, cash operations, transaction banking, or regulatory reporting operations.
