Primary Function:

About Golf Pride®

For five generations, Golf Pride® has been the global leader in golf grips. Throughout our history, Golf Pride® has believed in the importance of developing the best performing, most innovative grips for the world’s best golfers and amateurs alike. As the only brand that touches every golfer, we are obsessed with the connectedness of the hands to the club, and this inspires every Golf Pride employee in everything we do. Now entering our 75th year, Golf Pride is returning to the category disruption roots that got us started as we enter our next growth phase. While we may be #1, you should expect to see many parallels to a brand reinventing itself as we drive the change management needed to secure our desired transformation.

About The Position

At Golf Pride, quality is a competitive advantage. The best players in the world choose Golf Pride grips because they trust them to perform on every swing. As we enter our next growth phase, the quality function must evolve from maintaining standards to defining the future-state quality system that protects our brand and enables growth.

As Golf Pride’s Global Quality Manager, you will be the senior-most leader of the quality function and a member of the Global Operations Leadership Team, reporting to the Director of Global Operations. You will set the Quality function’s vision, standards, and capability roadmap across the entire Golf Pride network. Plant quality teams look to this role for functional direction — you own what “world-class quality” looks like; our plants own daily execution and local implementation.

You will drive excellence across two dimensions:
Player Focus: Define Golf Pride’s brand standard for product quality — what ‘great’ looks and feels like for initial quality, durability, and performance — and create global testing standards correlated to the player experience.
Operations Focus: Build the global quality system that consistently delivers products meeting that brand standard from every plant, across all channels and geographies.

What you can expect:

Define & Champion Brand Quality Standards: Partner with Innovation, Marketing, and Product Management to establish measurable quality standards anchored in the player experience.

Set the Global Quality Strategy & System: Deploy a comprehensive quality strategy across all Golf Pride sites and channels. Define the standards, governance, and maturity roadmap that plants execute against. Leverage Eaton Quality Management System best practices to drive consistency from raw material through finished product delivery.

Drive Player-Centric Testing & Standards: Develop testing methodologies that validate player expectations. Maintain global laboratory alignment between Pinehurst, Taiwan, and Thailand and manage the annual laboratory capital budget.

Build the Global Quality Function: Grow the quality organization globally, partnering with plant quality teams in Taiwan and Thailand on staffing, capability development, and talent. Coach site quality leaders, build strong processes, and recruit top talent.

Manage Quality Metrics & Drive Problem Solving: Own key quality metrics (DPPM, RPPM, CONC) and Balanced Scorecard reporting. Apply structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, DMAIC, Six Sigma, and SPC to quality issues, partnering with the Global CI Manager to build problem-solving capability across the organization.

Own Customer Quality, Supplier Quality & Escape Management: Serve as the primary contact for customer quality issues. Lead the Quality Alert and Escape Management process with urgency. Oversee supplier development and quality to ensure external partners meet Golf Pride’s brand standard.

Protect Brand Integrity & Compliance: Support USGA product testing and compliance. Lead Golf Pride’s anti-counterfeit strategy including detection, enforcement, and consumer education.

Partner Across Functions to Drive Business Impact: Collaborate across the business (Commercial, Innovation, Operations, HR, Finance, Legal) to integrate quality standards into process improvements, new product launches, and commercialization decisions. Ensure quality tradeoffs reflect customer needs and total business value.

Who you are:

You are a quality transformation leader who sees quality not as a manufacturing discipline but as a strategic brand differentiator. You are energized by defining what “world-class” means and building the systems to deliver it — consistently, globally, and sustainably. You have built or significantly elevated a quality function and know how to set standards that plant teams respect and execute.

You bring:
A player-first mindset — you connect quality standards to the end-user experience and translate technical specifications into outcomes that matter to golfers.
A transformation orientation — you build future-state quality systems, not just maintain existing ones. You design governance and capability frameworks that outlast any single initiative.
Cross-cultural leadership — you drive results across diverse manufacturing environments; Asia experience a strong plus.
Strong leadership presence — you build trust, develop talent, hold teams accountable, and drive results through both direct and indirect influence.
Business acumen — you connect quality decisions to brand value, commercialization speed, and customer impact.
Strong communication skills — you present quality strategy, metrics, and action plans with clarity at all levels.
A bias for action — structured thinking paired with pragmatic decisions that deliver visible business results.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
• 7+ years in manufacturing, engineering, or quality assurance.
• Technical Quality Expertise: Deep knowledge of 8D/DMAIC, Six Sigma, Lean, SPC, APQP, MSA, and quality audit methodologies. Six Sigma Green Belt required
• Tools & Data: Proficiency with Minitab, SPC software, blueprint reading, and standard business tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Experience with QMS and balanced scorecard reporting.
• Regulatory & Standards Knowledge: Working knowledge of quality standards, audits, and regulatory compliance for consumer products manufacturing.
• Collaboration & Communication: Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, build relationships with customers and regulatory bodies, and translate quality data into business decisions.
• Ability to travel internationally as business requires — approximately 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree or MBA
  • Multi-Site Experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Passion for golf and understanding of the golfer’s experience.
