Job Description

Team: CI & Devices, Product & Portfolio Strategy

Location: Novo Nordisk Global Business Services (GBS) India Bangalore

Lead diagnostic partnerships that unlock breakthrough therapies and accelerate patient access across multiple disease areas.

Your new role

As a Global Project Sr Lead in our Diagnostics team, you'll drive strategic partnerships that are critical to launch success and the uptake of key pipeline and in-line assets. In this role, you'll be at the intersection of innovation and execution—managing diagnostic collaborations across therapy areas that enable patients to benefit from life-changing treatments sooner.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the execution of diagnostic partnership agreements independently, from qualitative and quantitative analysis through to finalization and KPI measurement
  • Optimizing execution timelines through continuous analytical assessment and strategic recommendations for specific diagnostic partnerships
  • Developing frameworks and playbooks to assist affiliates and educate stakeholders on best practices for diagnostic partnering
  • Providing analytical support to build compelling storylines, business cases, and strategic recommendations for key decision-making forums
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with commercial, medical affairs, market access, regulatory, and affiliate teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Managing relationships with external vendors and agencies to drive progress on prioritized projects
  • Assessing value chains, identifying pain points and interventions, and developing guidance for partnerships in strategic markets

Your new department

In Product & Portfolio Strategy we drive commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across all therapy areas. We act as a connector and compass, guiding the new Novo Nordisk portfolio for sustained competitiveness upstream, and maximising portfolio potential through successful commercial strategies and competitive launches downstream.
Within Product & Portfolio Strategy, the Device, Diagnostic and Treatment Optimisation team plays a central role in managing diagnostic partnerships that are critical to our success across therapy areas. Novo Nordisk's Corporate Strategy has identified diagnostics as a key enabler, and our team is at the forefront of driving uptake for both pipeline and in-line assets. You'll be joining a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the patients we serve, working in a fast-paced environment where strategic thinking meets hands-on execution.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a strategic thinker with strong project leadership skills and a proven track record of driving results in complex, cross-functional environments. You'll bring with you:

  • A commercial or scientific master's degree with a minimum 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and a strong foundation in project management and execution
  • Proven experience preparing and driving early commercial strategies and activities for assets moving into phase 3 development
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and proactively, ensuring progress according to plan and timelines
  • Strong analytical capabilities—you can turn complex data into clear recommendations and actionable strategies
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions, departments, and geographies
  • Experience in a multinational organization and/or consultancy is highly valued
  • Disease or market knowledge within Novo Nordisk therapy areas is a clear advantage
  • Outstanding communication skills and the flexibility to reach agreements and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups
