Lead the data behind our sustainability commitments and help shape a more sustainable future for healthcare.

Your new role

As Global Project Manager for ESG Data & Reporting, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and transparency of Novo Nordisk's environmental and social data. You'll oversee critical reporting processes, drive data quality through robust internal controls, and collaborate with stakeholders across our global operations to deliver insights that inform our sustainability strategy.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing environmental data reporting for annual, quarterly, and organisational ESG disclosures, managing deadline and data trackers to ensure timely delivery
  • Leading environmental data collection across Novo Nordisk Affiliates, Labs, and non-allocated sites, ensuring high-quality accounting on platforms such as SoFi
  • Managing internal and external ESG inquiries using platforms such as SoFi and Workiva, engaging stakeholders, collecting data, and enhancing reporting capabilities
  • Building and supporting environmental and social data modelling using Python and/or PySpark to deliver visibility on sustainability roadmap progress Driving ESG-related internal controls to ensure data completeness, accuracy, and auditability in line with reporting standards (e.g., CSRD, ISSB, SASB, EU Taxonomy)
  • Collaborating with internal and external auditors during annual reporting periods, providing essential documentation and accurate data for the Annual Report and sustainability statement
  • Training and engaging internal stakeholders to build robust, high-quality environmental and social reporting capabilities across the organisation

We are a team of 2,300 colleagues primarily based at our headquarters in Denmark and our Global Business Services centres in India and Mexico.

Within Finance, Legal & Global Solutions sits Operations GBS. As part of this team, you'll be at the forefront of our ESG reporting and data management efforts, playing a critical role in ensuring transparency and accountability as we work toward our ambitious sustainability goals.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a Global Project Manager who thrives in a data-driven environment and is passionate about sustainability. You'll bring with you:

  • An engineering or master's degree in sustainability, natural science, environmental science, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience working on PowerApps or Power platforms, advanced Excel skills, and knowledge of Python
  • Training and education in environmental data management, data analysis, or data science
  • A solid understanding of the corporate sustainability landscape and ESG reporting standards (e.g., CSRD, ISSB, SASB, EU Taxonomy)
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, and a global mindset with the ability to collaborate across boundaries
  • A proactive approach to driving digitalisation and process improvements in ESG and environmental reporting
