Job Description

Your main tasks:

Product Line Strategy and Development:

  • Co-design the vision and the strategy for the Parenteral Nutrition portfolio in line with the overall Business Unit’s ambitions
  • Work closely with Portfolio Management, Strategic Marketing, Market Access, Medical Scientific Affairs and the Regional Commercial Organizations in defining the product’s value proposition and the clinical substantiation needed to be and to remain competitive
  • Support launch management and Strategic Marketing in driving new product launches and geographic roll outs and in ensuring appropriate launch sequence to maximize success in a region across product lines
  • Manage product portfolio rationalization and challenges resulting in complexity in back-end (minimum order sizes, irregular forecast changes etc.)

Pricing strategies and monitoring:

  • Monitor the pricing for the product lines to maintain competitiveness, in close collaboration with the Regional Commercial Organizations and Strategic Marketing
  • Engage proactively with Market Access to coordinate the development and the execution of pricing strategies, together with Strategic Marketing and the Regional Commercial Organizations

Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Actively coordinate the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through end-of-life
  • Work closely with Portfolio Management to develop and implement plans for product updates, improvements, and phase-outs

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination across departments
  • Collaborate with Tech-Ops (means S&OP, capacity planning, capex, network strategy for the product line under his/her responsibility) and Supply Chain Management
  • Manage bottlenecks and contingent allocations towards the regions in shortages and under quantity constraints

Business Risk Monitoring:

  • Identify and assess business risks for the relevant product lines such as exposure to single source ingredients/APIs, supply chain disruption risks, or regulatory risks, in close collaboration with the relevant functions
  • Define with the relevant functions and stakeholders mitigation plans and track implementation as required

Forecasting:

  • Manage the planning of product budgets in close alignment with Portfolio Management and the relevant functions and stakeholders
  • Analyze financial performance and implement actions to support the organization in achieving revenue and profitability targets

Your profile:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Nutrition, Life Sciences, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MS) is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in the healthcare, life sciences, biotechnology or nutrition industry
  • Experience with Medical Nutrition products is desirable but not mandatory
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Driven, innovative, customer focussed coupled with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of nutrition science, parenteral nutrition, and applicable regulations. Familiarity with product development processes and lifecycle management
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
