This Global Product Manager role within the Clinical Labs business unit is responsible for support the Next Gen Platform for Clin Labs, specifically focused on supporting the development of the new software both for the System and at an enterprise level. The role entails driving the marketing execution of all processes in next-gen software in the product lifecycle from gathering voice of customer (VOC)/voice of business (VOB), identifying and prioritizing market needs, feature roadmap development, collaborating with the R&D team on iterative designs and wireframing to product launch and hypercare.
This position is remote eligible supporting east coast working hours.
If you are located near our Rochester, NY or Raritan, NJ offices you may come in on an as needed basis.
Drive VOC and VOB activities to gather user needs, insights, challenges, etc. to develop Market needs from Key Opinion Leaders, customers and internal SMEs
Develop market needs for software development on Next Gen Platform such as workflow needs, GUI style, GUI navigation, etc.
Prioritize market features for software development, aligned to design north star
Define user needs for the Platform software as use case stories to support laboratory workflow
Assess and support third party partnerships, as needed.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Required:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or advance scientific degree preferred
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ global product management experience in medical device or diagnostics industry required
Medical Technologist or similar role preferred
Experience in clinical laboratory workflows
Experience in auditing roles preferred
Experience in software development or on-market support preferred
Preference for experience in a early product development marketing role, additional regional marketing or clinical marketing experience is a plus
Experience in competitive analysis, VOC/VOB research
Strong interpersonal, collaboration and relationship management skills
Proven ability to drive prioritization of appropriate activities within competing priorities
Personal ethics and integrity necessary with a style that embodies best practices and highest corporate values
Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 20% overnight

Internal Partners:
Business Unit and Commercial leadership, R&D development, UX, Brand, Global Services, Field Application Specialists, Regional Marketing.
Collaboration with Informatics and Automation Business Unit partners to develop Platform communication needs to drive efficiencies, aligned with the Informatics and Automation roadmap.
External Customers:
External interactions with customers and scientific thought leaders and internal technical SMEs.
Third party partnerships in marketing, software, etc.
Hybrid office environment. Must have the discipline, organization skills, and self-motivation to work autonomously and collectively with internal team members that are office or remotely based. Travel up to 25% including airplane, automobile, or train. Some overnight travel is required. Some global travel required.
No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work. Minimal travel required. Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.
The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on that facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $120,000 USD to $150,000 USD and is bonus eligible.
