Job Description

Team: Strategic Marketing & Insights , Product & Portfolio Strategy

Location: Bangalore, Novo Nordisk Global Business Services (GBS), India

Shape the future of device commercialisation across global and international markets – from strategy to launch and beyond.

Your new role

In this role, you will develop and execute commercial device strategy and priorities across both International Operations (IO) and Global, with your time split equally between the two. You will independently drive projects related to device marketing, branding, product launch excellence and lifecycle management activities – bringing commercial guidance to device development across therapy areas and working with stakeholders at every level of the organisation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving strategic and tactical execution of device strategy from a Global/IO perspective, ensuring alignment with global, regional and affiliate launch priorities
  • Leading device-related lifecycle management activities by coordinating with regions, affiliates and cross-functional stakeholders to support timely and effective execution
  • Serving as the primary Global/IO point of contact for launch-related queries, actions and issue resolution for in-market and upcoming devices
  • Independently driving commercial deliverables as part of the claims process, including identifying target claims, conducting cross-functional processes and providing input across therapy areas
  • Leading developmental projects including business case development and evaluations with multiple stakeholders
  • Supporting governance, readiness tracking and stakeholder alignment for device launches by identifying risks, enabling decision-making and driving completion of key launch deliverables
  • Contributing to the development of new promotional and training materials as needed
  • International travel of 5–10 days per year is expected.

Your new department

In Product & Portfolio Strategy we drive commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across all therapy areas. We act as a connector and compass, guiding the new Novo Nordisk portfolio for sustained competitiveness upstream, and maximising portfolio potential through successful commercial strategies and competitive launches downstream.

You will be based in our P&PS GBS office in Bangalore, working across Device Strategy & Marketing (Global) and Portfolio & Launch Strategy (IO). This is a highly cross-functional role where you will engage with senior stakeholders across headquarters and international operations – from Vice Presidents and Senior Directors to Global Product Managers and R&D teams – to ensure our device portfolio reaches patients effectively in markets around the world.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for someone who thrives in a complex, fast-moving environment and can independently set direction while bringing others along. You will bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, medical affairs, sales, brand management or project management – experience within the diabetes therapy area is preferred
  • Proven ability to develop and implement tactical plans, with strong strategic and analytical capabilities demonstrated through working with complex data sets and translating insights into actionable strategies
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to engage and influence at senior levels across a matrixed organisation
  • Strong content writing skills and the ability to translate complex topics into clear, compelling communications and governance storylines
  • A graduate degree in Pharma, Science, Biotechnology or Engineering, combined with a Master's degree (preferably in Marketing) from a well-recognised institute
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word
