The Global Process Owner – R2D owns the global process design and S/4 template for R2D process. The role ensures, control framework and reporting standards are embedded into standardized processes and controls ensuring consistent adoption across regions improving timeliness, accuracy and transparency.

Key Accountabilities

Common GPO Accountabilities

  • Define and maintain global process and control standards aligned to IFRS/GAAP requirements
  • Define and enforce global standards; manage deviations through formal governance and executive escalation when required.
  • Drive deployment of the global template and ensure harmonized adoption across regions and legal entities.
  • Define close cycle KPIs and enable harmonized execution through standardized template design.
  • Embed audit relevant controls & reconciliation standards into the S/4 template.
  • Translate accounting and reporting requirements into functional specifications in partnership with IM/Digital.
  • Define data dependencies with the relevant process owners and collaborate with Data GPO/Data Lead to ensure reporting integrity.
  • Resolve structural integration issues between P2C, S2P and R2D impacting financial statements.
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation and simplification beyond implementation.

Process-Specific Accountabilities

  • Maintain S/4 R2D template aligned to financial close and reporting standards.
  • Ensure IFRS/GAAP compliance, audit readiness and consistent balance sheet governance.
  • Standardize account reconciliations, journal governance and substantiation processes.
  • Operationalize close calendar structure and required control checkpoints into S/4 template.
  • Improve transparency and comparability through harmonized reporting and analytics enablement.
  • Drive close cycle reduction and manual effort elimination through template adherence and automation.

Required Personal and Professional Skills

  • Chartered Accountant or equivalent, 15+ years in finance operations and FP&A.
  • Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance and Finance analytics platforms, with a strong understanding of compliant financial processes.
  • Proven track record in Finance transformation, including global template governance, S/4HANA deployment, and value realization.
  • Strong experience with process governance and BPM tools (e.g. ARIS) and analytics/process mining tools (e.g. Celonis or Signavio).
  • Solid understanding of SOX and internal control frameworks and their translation into process and system design.
