Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be accountable for the overall performance and strategic direction of the product portfolio. You will define the mid- to long-term portfolio roadmap, align Agile Teams around common priorities, identify portfolio opportunities and risks, and ensure that product decisions support profitable growth, lifecycle discipline, customer value and execution focus. Day-to-day Agile execution remains with the Agile Team Product Managers and Product Owners.

This role is contributing to the ELSP business in China.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • The PPO defines and owns the market-oriented portfolio strategy for the assigned product portfolio, while maintaining a clear boundary to Sales Enablement responsibilities
  • The PPO is accountable for the overall performance of the assigned product portfolio, while Agile Team PMs / Product Owners remain accountable for product-level and sprint-level execution
  • The PPO has no direct reports but is expected to lead across approximately 3–4 Agile Teams as a senior portfolio member
  • The PPO owns strategic market sensing for the assigned portfolio, while clearly distinguishing this responsibility from Sales Enablement, channel development and sales-market execution functions
  • The PPO owns portfolio-level governance within the assigned market and portfolio scope and ensures that decisions are visible, evidence-based and aligned

Qualifications for the role
  • Significant experience in product management, portfolio management, product strategy or business ownership in a B2B industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of industrial products, ideally Critical Power solutions, UPS, energy systems, power electronics, electrical infrastructure, data center power, service lifecycle or adjacent domains
  • Experience with products that combine hardware, software, digital connectivity, serviceability and lifecycle support
  • Proven ability to manage business cases, profitability logic, pricing implications, roadmap trade-offs and strategic portfolio decisions
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile organizations, preferably across multiple teams without direct reporting authority
  • Ability to operate globally across regions, factories, functions and cultures; regional focus may vary by portfolio
  • Experience identifying market trends, competitive moves, portfolio gaps, partnership opportunities or M&A candidates
