We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Payroll Operations Specialist II to join our Global People Shared Services team. In this role, you will support payroll operations through payroll intake, data validation, case management, and coordination with local payroll teams to support accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple countries, ensuring a seamless employee experience and strong compliance. You’ll work closely with People Services Teams, Local Payroll teams, Finance, and global partners while growing your expertise in payroll operations and People technology.

Role accountabilities:

Employee Support & Policy Guidance

  • Provides expert, accurate, and timely guidance on payroll policies, ensuring employees and People partners receive clear interpretation of payroll processes, regulatory requirements, and organizational guidelines.
  • Delivers high-quality support through shared services channels, efficiently resolving payroll inquiries and escalating complex or sensitive cases to the appropriate teams or payroll vendors when necessary.
  • Educates employees on payroll cycles, statutory deductions, and pay-related changes, promoting consistent understanding across all supported markets and enhancing the employee experience.

Payroll Processing & Data Integrity

  • Performs precise payroll data entry and coordinates the validation of payroll inputs, ensuring all information submitted for processing is accurate, complete, and aligned with payroll cutoffs and control requirements.
  • Conducts thorough reviews of payroll inputs, identifying discrepancies or anomalies and taking proactive steps to resolve issues before payroll finalization.
  • Ensures strong data integrity across HRIS and payroll systems, maintaining accuracy and consistency throughout all payroll-related transactions and interfaces.

Compliance, Reporting & Governance

  • Supports preparation and coordination of payroll documentation and reporting requirements in partnership with local payroll teams.

Service Delivery Excellence

  • Delivers payroll services in alignment with defined SLAs, KPIs, and operational metrics, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and a consistent employee experience across all supported countries.
  • Monitors workload and ticket queues, ensuring timely resolution of cases and adherence to shared services response and turnaround standards.
  • Identifies recurring issues or service gaps, recommending solutions and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • 3–4 years of payroll experience in a corporate, shared services, or multi‑country environment, with strong skills in payroll processing, data validation, reconciliation, and employee support.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end People and Payroll processes, including Timekeeping, HRIS, Compensation & Benefits, and Finance integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with major HRIS/payroll systems (preferably Oracle HCM) and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical ability to audit, reconcile, and interpret large data sets with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, confidentiality, sound judgment, and a courteous approach when handling sensitive payroll matters.
  • Excellent customer service, strong written and verbal English communication skills, and ability to engage confidently with employees at all levels.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and effective in global shared services environments, working with international teams and vendors across time zones.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple deadlines, and committed to internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, multinational environment and open to learning country-specific payroll practices.
