Location: Bogotá, Colombia or Manila, Philippines
Work Pattern: Global hours across NA, EMEA, LATAM, and ASPAC time zones; up to 15% travel (domestic and/or international)

The Global Payroll Vendor Governance and Controls Analyst is responsible for supporting the design, execution, and continuous improvement of payroll compliance and control activities across global Payroll and Time & Attendance (T&A) processes. This role partners closely with Payroll Operations, HR, Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM), Internal Audit/PwC, and external vendors to ensure adherence to regulatory, statutory, and internal control requirements (including SOX), while supporting global transformation initiatives and standardization efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & T&A Process and Controls:
- Execute and monitor compliance activities across global payroll processes
- Support SOX control execution and testing
- Identify control gaps and coordinate remediation

- Complete required internal control and SOX deliverables
- Ensure alignment with policies and global standards

Audit & Risk Management:
- Support audit engagements and documentation collection
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and coordinate shared storage repositories
- Track compliance KPIs and remediation

-Liaison between audit teams and local SMEs

-Coordinate audit requests in a timely manner

-Confirm alignment or disagreement with audit findings and associated risk


Process Standardization and Continuous Improvement:
- Drive process standardization and documentation
- Support global initiatives ensuring compliance integration

- Influence control improvements and issue remediation through effective collaboration and stakeholder management.

- Identify opportunities to enhance controls and efficiency, leveraging AI where possible
- Support automation and transformation initiatives


Vendor Governance & Stakeholder Management:
- Perform contract reviews against J&J standards and manage on time renewals

- Collaborate with vendors to ensure SLA and control adherence
- Support SOC Report reviews and remediation efforts

-Partner with IT Security and Risk Management team to ensure timely completion of required assessments and deliverables.

Project Management

-Perform required compliance functions to ensure appropriate control design of Payroll and Time and Attendance processes for any new system implementations of deployments.

-Ensure timely and accurate delivery of compliance deliverables prior to go-live, including but not limited to interface inventory documentation, critical reports and spreadsheets identification, payment authorization matrices, etc).

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 3–5 years of Payroll Operations, Compliance, or Audit experience

Skills:
- Strong understanding of SOX/internal controls

-Strong understanding of payroll and T&A operations
- Experience with payroll and T&A systems (e.g., ADP, eTime)
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and compliance orientation

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.

- Comfortable working with senior leaders and distributed global teams.

- Self-motivated, adaptable, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio (or equivalent), PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other MS Office tools.

- Proficiency with generative AI tools and technologies

- Demonstrated understanding of AI concepts and frameworks, including awareness of responsible and ethical AI practices, and experience generating effective prompts to boost efficiency and productivity.
