Global Payments Requirement Lead (fix term 24 months contract)

Location: Bristol (hybrid)

The Finance function is responsible for providing treasury management services in respect of both client and own funds, financial planning & analysis, financial accounting and reporting, commercial finance and tax support to all business units and functions throughout the Computershare Group.

Operational Payments transformation programme will be implementing a global payments hub and payment operations utility for Computershare.The role must also work collaboratively with other global teams, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and a variety of project related activity.

The Global Payments Requirement Lead defines and leads the global business requirements strategy for the Operational Payments transformation, ensuring the delivery of coherent, high‑quality and scalable business requirements that enable a secure, compliant and future‑ready payments capability. This role provides strategic leadership across business analysis and changes disciplines, ensuring alignment between complex business needs, technology delivery, and regulatory requirements. This role ensures that business requirements capability supports broader organisational objectives, including resilience, cost efficiency, and the delivery of high‑quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the global business requirements strategy and roadmap for Operational Payments, aligned to the overall transformation vision and organisation’s priorities.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to shape strategic priorities, resolve complex challenges, and inform design decisions.
  • Accountable for the quality, integrity, and traceability of business requirements, ensuring alignment with regulatory, operational, and technology needs.
  • Oversee requirements change control, prioritisation, and dependency management, ensuring minimal disruption to delivery timelines.
  • Own and govern the global requirements management framework, ensuring effective control of scope, dependencies, risks, and impacts across the transformation lifecycle.
  • Drive end to end alignment between business requirements, process design, and technology delivery, ensuring cohesive and integrated outcomes across the global payments landscape.
  • Represent business analysis and requirements in senior governance forums, influencing decision making and ensuring strong alignment with organisation’s transformation objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in requirements practices, incorporating industry trends, and emerging methodologies to enhance delivery quality and efficiency.
  • Lead and direct global, multi-disciplinary business analysis and change teams, operating through both direct and matrix leadership to support end to end transformation delivery.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Deep subject-matter expertise in global payments and treasury operations, combined with a strong grasp of regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Recognised thought leader in defining and executing enterprise-wide development and testing strategies, including standards, governance, and control frameworks.
  • Proven ability to design and implement target operating models, embedding best practices across complex, global technology landscapes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end payments architecture, including large-scale integrations, processing flows, and system interdependencies.
  • Strategic, forward-looking mindset, leveraging industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to shape organisational direction.
  • Extensive experience within large, highly regulated global organisations, ideally in financial services, navigating complexity with confidence.
  • Strong commercial awareness, recognising how payments capabilities drive business performance, enhance client outcomes, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Inspirational leadership, setting clear vision, priorities, and performance expectations across complex delivery ecosystems.
  • Influential stakeholder management, with the ability to align and engage senior and executive leaders to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Expert problem-solver, owning and resolving highly complex, enterprise-wide challenges with multiple dependencies and constraints.
  • Accountable for defining and delivering global development and testing strategies, directly contributing to the success of critical transformation initiatives.
  • Significant impact on risk management and compliance, strengthening the organisation’s control environment across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, confidently influencing, challenging, and engaging stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
