Qualifications
Building on the foundation set as a Partner Manager, as a Global Partner Manager at World Wide Technology, you will extend your influence to a broader scope by refining and executing advanced partner strategies. This role involves a more active collaboration with diverse teams to ensure the alignment of partnership objectives with WWT's overall business goals. Responsibilities include managing detailed business plans, articulating partner needs and expectations, and leading quarterly business reviews to track strategic progress. You will drive deeper engagement across sales and engineering teams, oversee key performance indicators, and maintain consistent communication to ensure effective execution. Your contributions will also include enhancing training initiatives and coordinating communication strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates continuously with the Global Engineering, Corporate Sales Organization, Business Development Operations, and Corporate Marketing teams
- Understands short/long term goals of Partner Strategy; analyze success/completion of each goal
- Owns the Assurance of Scope and Direction of Partner Strategy Construction and provides continuous updates of business plans in collaboration with partners with input and approval from all internal and external stakeholders on goals, responsibilities, and quantitative measurements
- Plans and co-leads Quarterly Business Reviews and presents results/progress on business plan objectives
- Drives, leads, and accounts engagement with sales and engineering and reports on progress
- Drives and tracks completion/action on specific tasks, from all roles (Field Engagement, Account Mapping Sessions, Regional Events)
- Owns the overall messaging to all parties — understands and drives strategy in all meetings/communications
- Owns the enablement and education of program goals and plans, to all parties
- Tracks measurable numbers (revenue, costs, budgets, payments, distribution) — communicates/adjusts as necessary
- Coordinates and hosts cadence calls for individual roles and overall internal/external teams — with agenda and goals for each call
- Remains current on the latest technologies through participation in both internal and external training
- Hosts and moderates online events (webinars, webcasts, etc.)
- Coordinates with Business Development Operations on marketing plans/funds
- Develops an understanding of our competitive market positioning and WWT's go-to-market strategy
- Assists with onboarding and mentoring of new partner managers
- Creates best practices and associated content and presents concepts to peers in team meetings
- Leads QBRs and reports back to leadership on action items, progress, and areas for improvement
- Fosters team collaboration by posting and sharing relevant content in email and other team collaboration tools
- Takes lead role in executing against all required support services initiatives of the Partner Management Team including: WWT Sales Enablement, Partner Business Plan, Partner Field Sales Enablement, QBRs, Strategic Account Planning, Channel Manager Relationship, Marketing Strategy, and Brand Awareness
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in a related field (A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.)
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years' progressive experience in a related field
- Project/Program management experience a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Establish/maintain top-level relationships with OEM Partner Management Peers
- Build rapport with Provider Partner leadership teams
- Build awareness of WWT capabilities and direction
- Deep understanding of partner tiering requirements, partner competency programs, and technical certification programs
- Ability to work under uncertainty and incomplete data sets
- Strong organizational and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
- Strong project management skills with ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
- Strong relationship building skills
Travel Up to 40% domestic travel required.
