Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Immigration & Visa Management

  • Manage all aspects of employment-based visa processes (e.g., H-1B, L-1, TN, PERM), in partnership with external immigration counsel.
  • Track visa status, expiration dates, and compliance requirements for sponsored employees.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers on immigration-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with immigration laws and internal policies.

Relocation Management

  • Coordinate domestic and international employee relocations (~4+ annually, expected to grow).
  • Partner with relocation vendors to manage logistics (moving, temporary housing, travel, etc.).
  • Provide guidance to employees and hiring managers on relocation policies and support.

Policy Development & Program Management

  • Develop, implement, and maintain global mobility and relocation policies.
  • Ensure consistency and fairness in mobility practices across the organization.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience.

Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with external partners (immigration counsel, relocation vendors).
  • Monitor service quality, costs, and contract terms.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize spending and improve service delivery.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with immigration, tax, and employment regulations related to mobility.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready records.
  • Partner with Legal, Payroll, and Finance to mitigate risk.

Employee Experience & Support

  • Provide high-touch support to relocating employees and visa holders.
  • Communicate clearly on timelines, expectations, and requirements.
  • Support onboarding and integration for internationally mobile employees.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Experience working with immigration counsel and relocation vendors.
  • Knowledge of U.S. employment-based visa processes required, global mobility experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Strong time management and prioritization for efficient task handling.
  • Core HR expertise with specific knowledge and experience in global mobility tasks.
  • Teamwork and collaboration for cooperative project work.
  • Creative issue resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and inclusive workplace awareness.
  • Tact and diplomacy in handling employee queries, manager queries and leadership demands.
  • Commitment to Confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to work quickly and effectively, juggle many deadlines, organize work for maximum impact and minimize delays and disruptions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in global mobility, immigration, or relocation coordination.
  • Experience working with immigration counsel and relocation vendors.
  • Knowledge of U.S. employment-based visa processes required, global mobility experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Job may require regular and punctual attendance as well as presence on-site at the assigned work location
