Job Description

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing the marketing strategy for an assigned product line within the Oilfield Services & Equipment organization.

Working closely with Product Line leadership, Product Management, Sales, Technology, Operations, and Marketing Communications, the Marketing Manager translates business priorities, customer needs, technology capabilities, and market dynamics into differentiated market positioning and effective go-to-market strategies.

The role serves as the commercial and marketing bridge between the Product Line, customers, Sales, and the broader Marketing organization, helping accelerate growth, strengthen market position, increase customer adoption, and improve the commercial impact of the portfolio.

Roles & Responsibilities

OPERATIONS

Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with product line objectives, business priorities, and growth targets.

Translate business strategies into market-focused plans, targeting key customer segments, applications, and growth opportunities.

Lead marketing support for new product, service, and technology launches, including market activation and commercialization plans.

Conduct market sizing, segmentation, competitive analysis, and customer research to support strategic decision-making.

Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Technology, and Operations teams to support portfolio growth and market expansion.

Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and risks.

Develop and maintain product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that support commercial success.

QUALITY

Ensure consistent and accurate messaging across all marketing, sales, and customer-facing materials.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate marketing effectiveness and business impact.

Measure campaign performance, customer engagement, market adoption, and commercial outcomes.

Utilize market feedback and performance data to continuously improve marketing strategies, product positioning, and go-to-market initiatives.

Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance marketing processes and effectiveness.

COMMUNICATION

Serve as a key liaison between Product Line leadership, Sales, Product Management, Technology, Operations, and Marketing teams.

Translate complex technical information into customer-focused value propositions and commercial messaging.

Develop sales enablement tools, presentations, case studies, competitive analyses, and marketing collateral.

Support customer engagement activities, executive presentations, industry events, workshops, webinars, and conferences.

Communicate market insights, competitive intelligence, and strategic recommendations to key stakeholders and leadership teams.

Ensure alignment and consistency of messaging across global and regional organizations.

FINANCIAL

Support revenue growth and market share objectives through effective marketing and commercialization strategies.

Contribute to business planning activities through market intelligence, competitive analysis, and growth opportunity assessments.

Monitor marketing program effectiveness and return on investment to ensure alignment with commercial objectives.

Support pipeline development, customer acquisition, and product adoption initiatives.

Provide recommendations regarding market opportunities, growth investments, and portfolio priorities based on data-driven analysis.

PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT

Foster a collaborative, customer-focused, and results-oriented work environment.

Build strong working relationships across cross-functional and global teams.

Support the development and delivery of sales enablement and product training programs.

Share market knowledge and best practices to strengthen organizational capabilities.

Act as a strategic marketing partner to Product Line leadership in the development and execution of business growth strategies.

Influence organizational decisions by providing data-driven recommendations and commercial insights.

Lead cross-functional initiatives that support product commercialization, customer value creation, and long-term business growth.

Promote innovation and continuous improvement in marketing practices, customer engagement, and go-to-market execution.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience in marketing, product marketing, commercial strategy, business development, product management, or a related discipline.

Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies for technical products, services, or solutions.

Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to translate technical concepts into compelling customer value propositions.

Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional, and matrixed environment.

Preferred

MBA or other advanced degree.

Experience within oilfield services, energy technology, industrial equipment, manufacturing, or other technically complex B2B industries.

Experience supporting global product portfolios and commercial organizations.

Knowledge of market intelligence, segmentation, competitive analysis, and growth strategy development.
