Power Consulting sits within Hitachi Energy’s Grid Integration business and provides specialist advisory services for customers navigating increasingly complex power-system, grid integration, and energy-transition challenges.
As a Global Marketing & Sales Manager, you will drive business growth, develop strategic customer relationships, and lead commercial activities across our global consulting organization. Working closely with regional sales teams and business leaders, you will help expand our market presence, build a strong opportunity pipeline, and position Power Consulting as a trusted advisor to customers worldwide.
This is a high-impact, internationally focused role combining strategic thinking with hands-on commercial execution across multiple regions and consulting units.

How You Will Make an Impact
Drive global business development activities and build a strong pipeline across utilities, renewable developers, transmission system operators, EPCs, data centers, oil & gas companies, and industrial customers.
Identify, qualify, and prioritize sales opportunities in collaboration with regional sales leads and consulting unit managers across global markets.
Drive early customer engagement to shape requirements and position Power Consulting services ahead of formal procurement processes.
Lead strategic sales opportunities through opportunity qualification, proposal development, commercial negotiations, and contract award.
Develop compelling proposal narratives and commercial differentiators, including technical credibility, schedule, risk profile, delivery approach, and value proposition.
Provide guidance on commercial structuring, pricing approach, and risk management during proposal and contracting phases.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key industry stakeholders, positioning Power Consulting as a trusted advisory partner.
Serve as a senior point of contact for selected key accounts, ensuring consistent and high-quality customer engagement in coordination with regional teams.
Collaborate with regional Power Consulting teams across Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East & Africa to align commercial activities and growth strategies.
Support unified sales and marketing processes across regional Power Consulting units, including pipeline reviews, reporting expectations, and follow-up of key pursuits.
Support marketing initiatives, thought leadership activities, and industry engagement to strengthen market visibility and generate demand.
Lead or contribute to the development of customer-facing content, capability statements, and marketing materials that clearly communicate the value of Power Consulting services.
Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitive developments, and regulatory changes to identify new business opportunities and contribute to service portfolio growth.
Track pipeline health, conversion rates, order intake, and key commercial risks, escalating and proposing mitigation actions where needed.
Deliver on order intake, pipeline, and profitability objectives while upholding Hitachi Energy’s values of safety and integrity.
Ensure compliance with applicable internal and external regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Business, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in sales, business development, account management, consulting, or commercial leadership within the power systems, utilities, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
Knowledge of power systems, grid integration, renewable energy, transmission planning, power quality, technical feasibility studies, or energy consulting services.
Demonstrated track record of growing order intake, developing opportunity pipelines, and managing customer relationships across multiple regions.
Experience managing customer relationships, developing business opportunities, and supporting complex sales cycles.
Proven ability to lead or support the full sales cycle for consulting or advisory services, from opportunity identification and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and contract close.
Ability to collaborate effectively across technical, commercial, and operational teams in a global matrix organization.
Experience working across multiple geographies and coordinating with regional sales, consulting, or delivery teams.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to engage credibly with both technical experts and executive-level stakeholders.
Self-starter with the ability to operate with high autonomy, build structure in ambiguous situations, and manage multiple priorities across regions.
Willingness to travel internationally as required, up to 30–40%.
