The HVDC organization is growing rapidly, and Electrical Plant Design is a critical function for successful tendering and project execution worldwide.

Reporting to the GlobalHead ofHVDC Plants,Civil and DigitalEngineering, this position is essential to addressing our future requirements. In thisrole,you will play a vital part in the development of scalable operational structures, processes, and teams, while leading the transformation of our engineering practices.


Our Global Manager, HVDC Electrical Plant Designrequiresa strategic thinker, andinfluentialleaderwith a strong technical background and a passion for driving innovationto elevate and createastepchangein engineering execution through automation, modern tools, standardized processes, and the practical use of AI.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Drive "Safety by Design" practices and ensure compliance with local regulations.

  • Delivercutting-edgetransformationprojects across the globe toautomatethe field of electricalengineering

  • Harmonizetheuse of tools andplatforms,enablethe use of AI anddatadrivensolutions to improve quality, productivity, and lead times.

  • Recruitandleada globally distributedorganization, with engineers and managerslocatedacross multiple regions

  • Buildand coacha strong leadership team and ensure consistent ways of working globally.

  • Setdirection, priorities, and performance targets forourglobaldesignorganisation

  • Enable the delivery of high quality, efficient and scalable,standardizedprocesses,systemsand solutions.

  • Ensure that digital, automation, and AI initiatives are embedded into daily engineering work

  • Own global capacity planning, resource allocation, and delivery capability for tenders and projects

  • Act asan escalationpoint for critical delivery or capability issues

Your background

  • Degree in ElectricalPower Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Knowledge of relevant local health & safety and environmental regulations.

  • Proven experience leading large, global engineering organizations with multiple management layers

  • Strong understanding of electrical plant design and complex infrastructure or energy projects

  • Demonstrated experience in driving transformation,digitalization, or automation

  • Strong interest and practical mindset around AI, automation, and modern engineering tools

  • Clear, confident leadership style with the ability tooperateat both strategic and operationallevel
