As a Global IT Infrastructure Manager (m/f/d), you are responsible for the planning, continuous development, and operation of a global on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure. You ensure scalable and high‑performance platforms while driving automation, innovation, and cost efficiency in line with business and digital transformation objectives.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement the global IT platform and infrastructure strategy in alignment with corporate goals and digital transformation priorities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and operation of an enterprise‑wide infrastructure (compute, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms) across all regions
  • Ensure high availability, performance, monitoring, and security of the global infrastructure (on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud)
  • Drive automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps best practices (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to increase stability and delivery speed
  • Take responsibility for data center operations, cloud migrations, and the optimization of hybrid infrastructures across AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Collaborate closely with application and development teams to ensure seamless integration, high platform performance, and scalable services
  • Own enterprise‑wide backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity concepts, including testing, documentation, and continuous improvement
  • Lead a global team of infrastructure, platform, and network specialists; manage cloud providers and strategic partners; and define and report relevant KPIs to ensure reliability, compliance, and cost efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, a comparable field, or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, cloud platforms, or enterprise architecture within complex environments
  • Minimum of 4 years of leadership experience managing global IT infrastructure teams
  • Proven track record in leading large‑scale IT operations and cloud transformation projects
  • CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications, as well as ITIL v4 Specialist: Create, Deliver and Support, are required to ensure strong expertise in infrastructure, security, and service management; Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Solutions Architect – Professional are considered a strong plus
  • Strong expertise in security and compliance frameworks, IT cost optimization, and vendor and contract management
  • Proven experience with enterprise IT infrastructures, hybrid and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), automation, as well as security and compliance
  • Strong leadership and strategic capabilities combined with excellent stakeholder management and decision‑making skills
  • Very good German and English language skills, written and spoken
