About Houston

ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

By bringing many global functional groups together, the campus provides employees with the tools and capabilities needed today, and in the future, to achieve business objectives and accelerate the discovery of new resources, technologies and products. What Role You Will Play on Our Team

The Global Insurance Advisor is a key member of the company’s Risk Management & Insurance group, providing strategic insurance advisory and risk management support to the Corporation and its subsidiaries worldwide. This role partners closely with business units, affiliates, and joint ventures to design, implement, and oversee insurance solutions that align with the company’s global risk management philosophy and governance standards.

Based in Houston, this role operates with a strong international orientation and broad exposure to global operations. The Global Insurance Advisor supports multiple lines of business over time, gaining deep insight into the company’s risk profile, operating environments, and insurance programs. The role is designed to support long‑term professional development, with opportunities for expanded responsibility and leadership as experience and demonstrated performance grow.

What You Will Do

• Advise and arrange insurance programs for U.S. and international affiliates and joint ventures, consistent with corporate risk management and insurance governance principles
• Support underwriting, claims, and operational activities for the company’s wholly‑owned captive insurance company
• Negotiate, administer, and oversee relationships and contracts with insurance brokers and third‑party service providers
• Apply market knowledge and technical insurance expertise to optimize corporate and affiliate insurance programs
• Ensure insurance arrangements comply with local laws, regulations, contractual requirements, and internal controls
• Promote global best practices and continuous improvement across all insurance and risk management activities
• Provide guidance to affiliates on insurance structures, risk financing, and risk management principles
• Partner with business units on insurance claims strategy, resolution, and recoveries
• Develop, monitor, and steward key performance indicators and metrics related to areas of responsibility

Job Role Description

The Insurance Advisor - Advanced is responsible for providing high-quality analysis of insurance solutions for affiliates, and managing comprehensive claims and emergency response services in support of corporate value

Job Role Responsibilities

- Procure insurance solutions, and claims management services, for ExxonMobil and affiliates
- Provide expert advice and services to affiliates on claims, insurance, and risk management issues
- Manage global third party, recovery, and employee claims
- Assist with emergency response drills and incidents, responding to emergency situations on short notice for extended periods of time
- Assist on special projects and transactions with respect to risk management and financing strategies
- Manage relationships with key internal clients (i.e. business and law) and external brokers and providers such as Crawford, CorVel and Chubb / ESIS
- Steward key performance indicators and metrics for assigned operations
