What You Will Do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with VAT and indirect tax regulations.
• Analyze and interpret tax legislation and policies to provide actionable insights.
• Prepare and review VAT returns and compliance documentation with a high level of accuracy.
• Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to optimize tax positions.
• Utilize Slack for effective communication and project management within the team.
• Support audits and inquiries from tax authorities by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiencies within the finance and compliance functions.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 2 to 5 years of experience in indirect tax, VAT, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of tax compliance and regulations in a global context.
• Proficient in using Slack for team collaboration and communication.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide solutions.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably in finance or software sectors.

Preferred

• Familiarity with financial software or ERP systems used for tax compliance.
• Experience in a startup or rapidly growing company environment.
• Knowledge of international tax treaties and their implications on indirect tax.
