What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will focus on improving the scientific validity and external applicability of clinical research by ensuring that study populations and enrollment strategies are grounded in population-level data and reflect how diseases present and are treated in practice.

  • Translate epidemiology and real-world data into actionable study strategies, including burden-aligned enrollment targets, geographic planning, and site selection to better align trials with real-world disease burden.
  • Support evaluation of alignment between clinical trial populations and real-world populations across programs, identifying gaps and contributing insights to improve future study design and execution.
  • Partner with clinical study teams to influence study design and feasibility decisions, ensuring alignment between trial populations and real-world care delivery.
  • Operationalize enrollment strategies that address structural drivers of participation gaps across care settings, moving beyond traditional recruitment approaches.
  • Contribute to regulatory deliverables, including Diversity Action Plans (DAPs), by integrating scientific, epidemiologic, and operational insights.
  • Support the integration of community-based care settings into clinical research execution, including development of referral pathways and site network strategies that expand access.
  • Develop and maintain tools, analytics, and dashboards that enable data-driven decision-making related to enrollment, site performance, and access.
  • Track and analyze enrollment performance against population-informed targets, providing recommendations to mitigate risk and improve study outcomes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., Clinical Operations, Feasibility, Observational Research, Patient Recruitment) to address operational and structural barriers to participation.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on applying population science and data-driven approaches to clinical trial execution.
  • Manage external partnerships with research sites, health systems, and community-based organizations to support study execution and access strategies.
  • Contribute to testing and refinement of emerging approaches that better connect clinical trials with real-world care delivery.
  • Represent Amgen externally through participation in industry forums, working groups, and conferences.
