About the Opportunity

The organization is seeking an experienced Global General Manager to lead a strategically important business with responsibility for global growth, profitability, operations and organizational performance.

This is a senior business leadership position with full P&L accountability and responsibility for shaping and executing the business strategy across multiple geographies. The successful candidate will lead a complex, international organization and work closely with global stakeholders across commercial, product, engineering, operations and corporate functions.

Key Responsibilities

Global Business & P&L Leadership

• Lead the global business with full end-to-end accountability for P&L performance, growth, and profitability.
• Develop and execute the business strategy to deliver sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion.
• Establish clear business priorities, performance targets and accountability across the organization.
• Drive commercial performance, pricing discipline, margin improvement and overall value creation.
• Identify new growth opportunities, markets, customer segments and strategic partnerships.
• Ensure effective allocation of resources across markets, products and strategic initiatives.

Commercial & Market Leadership

• Lead global sales and commercial strategy across direct and indirect channels.
• Strengthen customer relationships and develop long-term strategic partnerships with key accounts.
• Partner with regional and country leadership teams to translate global strategy into local execution.
• Oversee major bids, strategic opportunities and complex commercial negotiations where appropriate.

Product & Technology Leadership

• Work closely with product management, engineering and technology teams to ensure the portfolio remains competitive and aligned with market requirements.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, product development and portfolio optimization.
• Ensure effective collaboration between commercial, engineering, product and operations organizations.
• Balance customer requirements, technology investment, product profitability and speed to market.

Operations & Manufacturing

• Provide leadership across the broader operational value chain, including manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, quality and service where applicable.
• Drive operational excellence, productivity, cost competitiveness and delivery performance.
• Lead continuous-improvement and transformation initiatives across the organization.
• Ensure strong collaboration between global business functions and manufacturing/operational sites.

Strategic & Executive Leadership

• Partner closely with the executive leadership team and other global stakeholders.
• Translate corporate strategy into clear business priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Provide regular business performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Evaluate strategic investments, partnerships, acquisitions and other growth opportunities.
• Represent the business externally with major customers, partners and other stakeholders.

Required Experience

• 15+ years of relevant professional experience, with significant experience in industrial, engineered products, capital goods, industrial technology, or a closely related environment.
• Proven experience in a General Management, Business Unit President, Regional President, Managing Director or equivalent senior P&L leadership role.
• Demonstrated full P&L ownership, including responsibility for revenue, profitability, and overall business performance.
• Experience leading businesses across multiple countries and/or regions.
• Demonstrated experience leading businesses across Europe, with a strong understanding of European markets, customers, and business dynamics.
• Strong commercial leadership experience, including sales, market development, pricing and customer strategy.
• Experience working closely with product, engineering, manufacturing and/or operations teams.
• Demonstrated experience driving business transformation, growth and operational improvement.
• Willingness and ability to undertake extensive international travel, including frequent travel across key global markets.
