Key Responsibilities
GlobalClient Strategy &Growth
Lead the development of best-in-class media planning principles on priority global clients,collaboratingwith client and specialist teams (e.g. Havas Market, Havas Play and CSA) to deliver fully integrated planningstrategiesThrough this work,you willbuild strong relationships with Heads of Media and Performanceclientsand other key marketing stakeholders.
Identifyandcreate opportunities fororganicbusiness growth(prioritising scope expansion in performance, retailmediaand commerce for Havas Market)withour wider Havas capabilities,through the lens of clients’full funnelplanning needstodrive measurable impact.
BetheGlobal Planning Lead on selected new business pitches, from written submissions through to client presentations.
Planning Quality Control &Local MarketConnectivity
DesignGlobal clientplanning frameworks andtransformationroadmaps,aligned toclients’long-termbusiness vision,accounting for category and local market nuancesand the governancerequiredtooperationalize it
Own thebriefing and quality controlreviewsof media planswithlocalHMN teamsfor Globalpitch responses to brief
Play an active role inHMN’sGlobal Planning network community to enable fasteridentification andscaling of localfull funnelplanning best practiceand case studies
Share and advocate best planning practices and examples across client teams.
Engage across local markets to understand planning practices, capabilitygapsand training/upskilling requirements. Ensure quality of planning is above the expected baseline in all markets for global client accounts.
Innovation & Integration
Support the EVP Global Head of Planning to set the visionand roadmapforHMN’splanningcraft,ensuringalignment withthewider agencybusinessstrategy,changing consumer behavioursandemerging market trends to give us and our clientsacompetitive edge.
Collaborate withthe ConvergedAI product team andrelevantHavasexpertstodrive innovation in planning methodologies, tools, and processesidentifyingopportunities for capability development whereappropriate
Build senior relationships with key media partners to create deeper partner engagement andprovide unique opportunities for our clients
Contribute toagencythought leadership, sharing perspectiveson the future of planningboth internally and externally
Requirements
Experience:
Proven,significant experiencein a senior media planning role, preferably at a global or multi-market level within a media agency.Single market experiencewith a desire to step into aGlobalrole,may be considered for exceptional candidates.
Demonstrabletrack recordof developing and implementing successful full-funnel media strategies that connect brand-building initiatives with performance, commerce, and business outcomes.
Experience in leading the media planning response for new business pitches, from written submissions to client presentations.
A strong background in senior client relationship management, with the ability to act as a trusted strategic partner.
Experience working in a matrix organization, collaborating effectively with diverse specialist teams (e.g., Strategy, Data, Analytics, E-commerce, Creative).
History of working with and influencing local market teams to ensure planning excellence and consistency.
Skills & Competencies:
Deepexpertisein the end-to-end media planning process, including strategic framework design, audience insight, channelselection, briefing, and quality control.
Strong commercial acumen with an ability toidentifyand convert organic growth opportunities.
In-depth knowledge of the entire media landscape, including performance marketing, retail media, and e-commerce channels.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies clearly and persuasively to C-level stakeholders.
Excellent strategic and analytical abilities, capable of turning businessobjectivesand data into actionable, innovative media solutions.
Strong leadership and influencing skills, able to inspire and guide teams and peers without direct line management authority.
