In this role,you will develop product-specific long-term forecasts reflecting current dataLead the forecasting and business planning processes,identifykey business issues thatimpactshort-term and long-range product and market forecasts,and appropriatelyincorporate primary research into forecast modelsto reflectanticipatedrisks and opportunities on sales outlook
Success in this role requires deepexpertisein forecasting methodologies, scenario planning, and assumption setting, along with experience supporting both inline brand execution and pre-launch or lifecycle activities. The ideal candidate combinesstrategicrange with executional discipline, works effectively across Finance, Payer, Insights, Data Analytics, and Commercial partners, and embraces modern analytics and AI-enabled approaches to strengthen decision-making.Through a close partnership with theGlobalBrandTeam and a strong understanding of the therapy area, you will translate the insight gaps into the correct questions, andwith a technicalexpertisein research design and interpretation—generate the relevant answers.
TheGlobal Forecasting & Insights Directorowns forecasting leadership end to end—from model design and governance to scenario planning and communication of business implications—ensuring forecasts reflect the best available inputs and support confident enterprise decision-making. The role is also expected to strengthen forecasting capabilities through continuous improvement, thoughtful adoption of digital tools, and selective use of AI-enabled methods whereappropriate
Key Responsibilities:
Leadglobalforecasting forForxigaand thedapagliflozincombinationsdeliveringtimely,accurate, and decision-ready projections that support inline brand management and pre-launch activities
Own forecast development and communication, including assumptions, scenarios, sensitivities, key business drivers, and the implications of market events, competitive dynamics, and strategic choices
Support core planning processes, including annual planning, long-range planning, and quarterly business updates
Partner closely with Finance, Payer, Insights, Data Analytics, Commercial, and strategy leaders to align on assumptions, risks, opportunities, and business implications
Integrate market research, analytics, and business insights into forecasts and lead scenario planning to inform investment choices, risk mitigation, and strategic decisions
Partner with Brand Analyticsanddata scientists elsewhere in the business toleveragereal world data for insights generation tobetterunderstand physician and patient behavior and drive strategic implementation within the brand
Ensure objectivity and robustness around the forecast via identification of theappropriatedatasources and application of industry-leading modeling approaches, with sensitivity analyses around key variables toassistin opportunity and risk management and championing the use of local customer insights
Summarize andclearlypresent forecasts, includingmethodologyassumptions andrecommendations to senior stakeholders and continuously improve forecasting approaches, tools, and AI-enabled ways of working
Required experience:
8+ yearsof directpharmaceuticalexperience in forecasting, business planning, market modeling, or related strategic decision-support roles
Strong experience leading forecasts in complex business environments, including scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and assumption development
Experience supporting both inline brand management and pre-launch, or lifecycle activities is strongly preferred
Experience supporting GlobalorUS business planning and decision-making is strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to connect forecast outputs to strategic, commercial, payer, and financial decisions and communicate implications clearly to senior stakeholders
Strong business acumen, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to synthesize multiple data sources into clear assumptions, forecast narratives, and actionable recommendations
Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work effectively across a matrixed organization, including close partnership with Finance, Payer, Insights, Data Analytics, and Commercial teams
Comfort with digital tools, advanced analytics, and emerging AI applications that can strengthen forecasting efficiency, insight generation, and decision quality
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, economics, statistics, life sciences, finance, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, PhD) a plus
Occasional travel may berequired.
