J.P. Morgan is a global leader in financial services, providing solutions to corporations, governments, and institutions across more than 100 countries. The Mumbai Equities Operations Transformation team sits within Global Equities Operations and is responsible for implementing change driven by industry initiatives, regulatory rules, and strategic business priorities for the Mumbai region and globally.

As a Transformation Vice President within our Global Equities Operations Transformation Team, you will spend each day defining, refining, and delivering strategic change initiatives that improve operational efficiency, strengthen controls, modernize platforms, and support business growth across global Equities Operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • You will lead the India delivery of the Equities platform adoption and migration program, partnering with global stakeholders to drive execution and outcomes.
  • You will manage a portfolio of transformation initiatives spanning system implementations, process re-engineering, new products, and market expansion activities.
  • You will lead and develop a team of project managers and transformation professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • You will own end-to-end project delivery, ensuring requirements, testing, implementation, and operational readiness activities are completed successfully.
  • You will translate business needs into scalable technology and operational solutions by partnering closely with Business, Operations, and Technology teams.
  • You will identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and issues to maintain delivery momentum and governance standards.
  • You will analyze current and future-state processes and drive improvements that enhance efficiency, controls, and client outcomes.
  • You will establish strong stakeholder engagement by communicating priorities, gathering feedback, and securing alignment on key decisions and deliverables.
  • You will facilitate change adoption through training, demonstrations, and operational readiness activities.
  • You will provide clear governance reporting, executive updates, and project transparency to support informed decision-making.
  • You will leverage analytics and reporting tools to generate insights, monitor performance, and support data-driven transformation decisions.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Extensive experience in financial services with deep expertise in Equities Operations and transformation delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of Cash Equities and Equity Derivatives products and their end-to-end trade lifecycles.
  • Proven experience leading complex transformation programs from initiation through implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert business requirements into technology and operational solutions.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams and senior professionals.
  • Strong project management, business analysis, and process improvement capabilities.
  • Experience planning and executing large-scale user acceptance testing and implementation activities.
  • Ability to analyze complex operational challenges and recommend practical solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience partnering across Business, Operations, and Technology functions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data and reporting to support decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Experience across Prime Services, Stock Borrow Loan, Clearing, Futures, Options, or Over-the-Counter Derivatives products.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting Equities Operations.
  • Experience with business process mapping and process optimization methodologies.
  • Exposure to large-scale platform modernization or migration initiatives.
  • Experience using analytics and visualization tools to drive reporting and performance insights.
  • Project or Program Management certification is a plus.
  • Master of Business Administration or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
