Global Equipment Supply Head

The actual location of this job is inSuzhou,China

The primary goalof this roleis to shift the manufacturing of parts and equipment to external suppliers in China (and eventually APAC) to simultaneously reduce the high workload on our internal equipment makers and drive down equipment costs.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:

  • The Global Equipment Supply Lead will directly manage and supervise the entire equipment supply lifecycle

  • Ensure or performquality control, final acceptance, and successful commissioning of delivered equipment

  • Role will partner closely with key internal stakeholders (e.g., MTC, KOMEC, NEO, R&D, Procurement) to define and clarify technical, procurement, and business requirements for the equipment in scope.

  • Develop procurement value, margin improvement strategies, and implementation planstoensurebusiness continuity for the assigned equipment portfolioandAssess the supply base to identify and mitigate risks related to supply disruption or competitiveness gaps.

  • Lead key supplier relationship management and development activities for assigned categories.

  • Ensure full compliance with CHI standards, regulatory requirements, and local laws.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineeringor related discipline.

  • Relevantwork experiencein a parts or equipmentmanufacturerenvironment.

  • GMP experience in the pharmaorworking experiencefrom the food, medical devicesindustry.

  • Solid electrical foundation; able to interpret drawings, BOMs, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.

  • Strong ability to plan, track, and drive cross-functional engineering projects end-to-end.

  • Familiarity with QA/QC processes, FAT, and compliance documentation; abilityto handle technical/quality issues on-site

  • Experience with supplier qualification, RFQs, cost evaluation, negotiation, and performance oversight.
