As a Global Engagement Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with professionals from across industry and positively impact safety and operations of Boeing flight operations and those of our customers world-wide. In this high visibility position you will interact with pilots, managers, regulators, executives, peers, supporting team personnel, and Subject Matter Experts.

Objective:

Boeing Korea seeks a seasoned Global Engagement Specialist to lead operator engagement and improve flight operations, safety, and training worldwide. Leveraging ATPL-level operational experience (Captain/instructor/examiner), you will consult with airline and military operators, observe and evaluate real-world operations, standardize flight-related materials, and translate technical changes into operational guidance. This field-based role requires strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and frequent international travel.

Position Responsibility:

  • Performs instructional and professional activities to support flight crew training, standardization, and flight procedures/operational techniques.
  • Oversee development and delivery of flight crew training, simulator training and simulator familiarization flights.
  • Observes customer operations and reviews recommendations on flight operations and procedures; provides technical information to clarify and apply Boeing flight procedures to customer operations.
  • Assists in development and application of company safety initiatives, strategies that are used in support of continuous accident reduction.
  • Leads the development, reviews, validation, and standardization of flight-related materials, technical bulletins and procedures; leads coordination with others regarding changes affecting flight operations and safety.
  • Participates in flight deck design and test to develop, validate and ensure adherence to flight crew procedures and operating techniques.
  • Supports activities to obtain aircraft certification.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required as basic qualification
  • Must hold or have previously held an ICAO-recognized Airline Transport Pilot License ATPL)
  • Work experience as a Captain, pilot instructor, or examiner with a National Airworthiness Authority (NAA) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ operational experience in commercial aviation, including direct airline operations or airline management support.
  • Certified/experienced technical pilot with type ratings and current flight experience appropriate to the role
  • Proven experience in Safety Management Systems (SMS), including safety reviews and regulatory compliance.
  • Practical experience in Flight Data Monitoring (FDM/FOQA), Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Fatigue Risk Management (FRMS).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or professional certification in Aviation Management, Safety, Human Factors, or related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in senior operational, safety, or training leadership roles within airlines or large aviation organizations.
  • Familiarity with multiple regulatory frameworks (e.g., EASA, FAA, ICAO) and experience managing cross-jurisdiction regulatory matters.
  • Experience implementing or maturing SMS, FRMS or FDM programs end-to-end.
  • Relevant instructor/trainer qualifications (e.g., CRM instructor, type instructor, SMS lead auditor).
  • Demonstrated QA/QC experience applied to operations, training or safety processes.
  • Experience in consulting or customer support within aviation operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and project planning software; demonstrable IT competency.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven relationship-builder.

Location:

This position is a Hybrid job.

Travel:

Some travel may be required, up to 50% of the time.

Work Authorization:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in South Korea. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work immediately in South Korea.
