Job Description

PACCAR India is seeking an experienced Global Engagement Manager who will be responsible for overseeing strategic IT initiatives, projects, and programs across various divisions. The role has overall responsibility to manage and provide governance for projects delivered by PACCAR India teams and partner (supplier) teams, while ensuring strong delivery performance, stakeholder engagement, team effectiveness, and expansion of IT capabilities from India. The position acts as a single owner for all projects and sustainment work delivered from India for assigned division(s), working closely with Supplier Delivery teams and Division Application Managers.This position will be responsible for managing the team that is responsible for PIPL’s project and program deliveries for various divisions and will ensure the department’s efficiency and effectiveness in collaboration. Report into PACCAR India IT Director for overall success of delivery from India

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery Management:
    • Tracking & Status reporting of key programs
    • Manage escalations
    • Facilitating managements updates
    • Develop strong supplier relationship
    • Develop and execute the PACCAR IT strategy aligned with business goals and objectives.
    • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends and assess their potential for implementation to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with the security practices and no violations are reported on the team for security, privacy or audit findings
    • Participate in evaluation of software applications and tools that align with business needs, including ERP systems, productivity software, and collaboration tools from IT Delivery perspective. Further contribute to the implementation from Infrastructure standpoint
    • Maintain thorough documentation of IT project status and generate reports on team performance
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as liaison between India delivery teams, suppliers, and Division Application Managers
    • Drive regular engagement with global stakeholders across locations
    • Improve communication, transparency, and collaboration with stakeholders
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with division stakeholders and suppliers
    • Ensure supplier performance meets defined expectations, including high CSAT (target ≥9.1)
    • Work with division stakeholders to define and execute resource growth and capacity plans
    • Collaborate with division leadership on strategic India delivery alignment and expansion
    • Negotiate and manage SLAs, contracts, and service delivery commitments
    • Ensure effective governance across supplier and internal delivery teams
  • Team Management:
    • Drive team performance through goal setting, performance reviews, and continuous feedback
    • Enable skill development through structured learning initiatives, with focus on significant training hours
    • Improve team motivation, engagement, and overall productivity
    • Maintain team stability by managing attrition in line with industry benchmarks
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
    • Identify skill gaps and build capability through targeted development plans
    • Manage team’s shifts , overtime , non standard working
  • Onboarding of new position & transition
    • Identify new opportunities and collaborate with stakeholders to grow IT delivery from India
    • Work with recruitment teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new resources
    • Participate in evaluating technical requirements, shortlisting candidates, and supporting hiring decisions
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify transition opportunities and resource movement
    • Work with suppliers and HR teams to ensure seamless transition and knowledge transfer
    • Drive expansion of India IT team to support business growth, including planned increase in headcount
    • Ensure effective onboarding, integration, and productivity of new hires
  • Finance Management
    • Ensure on time submission of invoicing & effort details with controller
    • Ensure projection update for every month to the controller
    • Ensure compilation & validation of teams nonstandard working hours & then submit it to HR for payout
  • Other projects or tasks as assigned
    • Application Security review – work with division security team to validate security compliance of any new application or platform which is planned for PACCAR India
    • Support PACCAR Internship program – identification of project, shortlisting & interview of candidate & onboarding
    • Onboarding & Mentoring the interns throughout their journey

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Knowledge & Skills REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant IT experience
  • Minimum of 8 – 10 years as an IT Project Manager/Program Manager or similar position with complete responsibility.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT Project and Program Management, including project planning, stakeholder management and cross location deliveries.
  • Depth on cross border collaboration and interaction with senior level IT/Business teams, relationship management is a must
