Unit: Global Market & Corporate Partnership Development – MA Development & Support (IDS)
Location: Innsbruck, Vienna (Austria), Dakar (Senegal), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Nairobi (Kenya), Skopje (Macedonia). Other locations where SOS has a registered presence may be considered. Work permits in the preferred work locations would be desirable
Secondment Arrangement: This position is offered as a secondment assignment at least until the end of 2026 (but maybe even longer depending on the needs and the mutual agreement). Selected colleagues are expected to dedicate a minimum of 50% of their working capacity to this role alongside their existing responsibilities.
Global Corporate Partnerships & Philanthropy is the global competence hub for corporate relations and regional/global partnership agreements. This functional area facilitates and fosters the federation’s corporate fundraising activities and manages global key accounts.
Global Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy team is responsible for driving and supporting partnerships and global income development in corporate and philanthropy fundraising. By proactively leveraging financial and non-financial resources and building strategic alliances as well as managing international knowledge sharing, the department works towards growing the federation’s income from corporates and philanthropists. The department responsibilities include developing and managing global partnerships requiring multi-country engagement and coordination, developing strategic, operational and decision-making frameworks for corporate partnerships with a federation-wide approach as well as capacity building with the aim to ensure that the right resources are in place to manage relations with corporates and philanthropists professionally.
Purpose of the JOB
Depending on the selected service packages advises members on developing and managing partnerships with corporations, major donors, and philanthropic entities and/or manages the relationship with assigned global key partners for global income growth. Facilitates peer networks, builds shared tools and standards, and provides tailored support for partnership strategy, co-creation of value propositions, proposal development, compliance, and impact reporting. Supports members/partners in engaging new markets and fundraising models.
