Job Description

As a Vice President within our Nordics Coverage team, you will in a hybrid role responsible for managing relationships of our Mid Cap clients as well as Innovation Economy clients.

Our Mid Cap coverage team is responsible for public and private companies with revenues of $250 million and above who we provide traditional corporate banking products as well as investment banking products to its clients. Our business partners include product specialists from Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, M&A, Treasury Services, Corporate Derivatives and Private Banking. Our Innovation Economy business plays a pivotal role in originating, building, and scaling long‑term relationships with some of the UK’s most ambitious VC‑backed technology companies. The focus would be on driving sustainable growth across the full client lifecycle—from initial engagement through scale and maturity—by delivering the breadth of J.P. Morgan’s capabilities. You will proactively anticipate client needs, partnering with founders and CFOs as they navigate critical inflection points, while maximizing value and revenue for the firm over time.

This position will also support JPMorganChase’s Security and Resiliency Initiative (SRI). You will engage the Nordic Midcap and Innovation Economy ecosystem—connecting founders, investors, governments, and other stakeholders—where innovation intersects with defence, security, and resilience priorities.

We require an experienced coverage banker capable of executing transactions and ultimately driving business independently as well as supporting other senior coverage bankers. The banker should have proven execution and client relationship skills. Prior banking experience in the Nordic Region (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland) is required, with strong knowledge of the local market.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue and close sales opportunities for a broad range of financial products and services
  • Support the identification, build and origination of a new portfolio of Nordic headquartered mid cap & Innovation Economy clients.
  • Manage complex, multi-product client relationships
  • Coordinate the sales and service efforts of multiple internal business partners
  • Proactively market clients and prospects; represent GCB’s European Banking Group in the local banking and business communities and develop a network of referral sources
  • Collaborate with credit underwriting team on analysis ,structuring, negotiation, and documentation of credit requests
  • Initiate and maintain strategic dialogue with clients and prospects to generate ongoing corporate finance, treasury services and credit opportunities
  • Strictly comply with all regulatory and JPMC rules, policies, and procedures

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Extensive experience as a Client / Relationship Manager selling corporate finance or corporate banking products and services, or coming from a Markets Coverage background
  • Knowledge and experience in Corporate Banking or Investment Banking is preferred
  • Prior banking experience working in the Nordic Region (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland)
  • Knowledge of the Nordic Mid Cap and/or Innovation Economy market is a plus
  • Fluency in English and minimum one Nordic language both orally and in writing
  • Strong leadership abilities in financial services sales and business development
  • Solid credit, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications abilities
  • Knowledge of credit, corporate finance, treasury, investment banking, and other banking products; preferably with execution experience
  • Self-motivated, dependable and intelligent
  • Candidate must be a top individual contributor, with a strong performance track record
