About the role

Context

CEVA Lead Logistics (CLL), a division of CEVA Logistics, is the Group’s 4PL / Lead Logistics offering, delivering end-to-end supply chain orchestration through global Control Towers.

In a rapidly evolving European logistics environment—driven by digital transformation, supply chain resilience, cost optimization, and increased outsourcing—CLL supports customers in designing and operating fully integrated, data-driven supply chain models.

The organization operates in a highly matrixed and collaborative “OneCEVA” model, closely connecting Global Business Development, regional commercial teams, Solution Design, and Control Tower operations.

Role

The Regional Business Development Manager Europe is responsible for driving new business acquisition across the 4PL / Lead Logistics portfolio.

The role identifies, qualifies, and converts complex supply chain opportunities into integrated, high-value solutions (visibility, transport optimization, performance management, and cost control).

It plays a key role in accelerating CLL growth across Europe and ensuring strong alignment between global and regional commercial teams within the OneCEVA framework.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and execute the CLL business development strategy across Europe
  • Identify new business opportunities and strategic market segments
  • Lead complex sales cycles (RFI, RFQ, multi-country 4PL tenders)
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders (Solution Design, IT, Operations, Global BD) to build integrated supply chain solutions
  • Develop value propositions, pricing strategies, and business cases
  • Lead commercial negotiations through to contract signature
  • Build and manage a structured sales pipeline within CEVA CRM tools
  • Ensure accurate reporting of opportunities, forecasts, and commercial performance
  • Develop senior-level relationships with key decision-makers (Supply Chain, Procurement, Executive leadership)
  • Identify upselling and scope extension opportunities in collaboration with Account Management teams
  • Maintain strong market intelligence on 4PL trends, supply chain evolution, and competitive landscape

Qualifications and Skills

  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent
  • 5–10 years of experience in business development within logistics / international transportation
  • Proven experience in complex solution selling (4PL / 3PL / LLP / freight forwarding)
  • Strong knowledge of transport modes (Air, Ocean, Road, Warehousing)
  • Experience managing RFQs, tenders, and complex international sales cycles
  • Strong financial acumen (pricing, margin analysis, profitability)
  • Solid understanding of 4PL / Lead Logistics operating models and global supply chains
  • Experience working in international, matrixed environments
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills at senior executive level
  • Strong results orientation, autonomy, and influencing capabilities
  • Fluent English required (additional European languages are a plus)
  • Willingness to travel across Europe up to 50%

As a global organization, and as part of the CMA CGM Group, diversity is critical to our business success; only when we can reflect the cultures, languages, behaviors and local knowledge of our customers, we can succeed. By employing people with different experiences and abilities, we expand our knowledge and increase our creativity and innovation.

Please note: Legitimate CEVA Logistics recruitment processes include communication with candidates through recognized professional networks, such as LinkedIn or via an official company email address: firstname.lastname@cevalogistics.com. We recommend that you do not respond to unsolicited business propositions and/or offers from people with whom you are unfamiliar.
