Within Hager, Project Business brings these solutions together for specification-driven building and infrastructure projects, where project-specific technical requirements guide the design and selection of electrical systems. These include commercial and industrial buildings, large-scale developments, and critical infrastructure. This means working with the people who shape, specify, purchase, install, and operate these systems, from owners, architects, and consulting engineers to electrical contractors, panel builders, system integrators, and facility managers. By combining solutions with technical expertise, digital tools, and services, Hager supports these partners from early design and specification through project execution.

Electrical contractors are central to this approach: they influence supplier selection and purchasing decisions and turn project specifications into installed solutions. As Global Contractor Customer Type Owner, you will shape, strongly support, and enable Hager’s growth with these customers across markets. You will define and orchestrate the Group’s contractor strategy, working closely with the Specifier Head, market leaders and country teams, and relevant Group and local functions. This collaboration will connect early specification influence with contractor engagement and project conversion, translating the strategy into priority accounts, relevant customer propositions, practical tools and services, and measurable business results. The approach will be developed in selected markets before being scaled across Europe and beyond, with room to adapt to local needs. You will steer deployment and performance, while local teams retain full responsibility for commercial execution and customer relationships.

This newly created international role offers the opportunity to build the approach and turn strategy into action alongside strategic customers, market teams, and cross-functional partners. As an individual contributor with no direct reports, you will lead through influence, aligning stakeholders around shared priorities and driving progress within a matrix organization. You will report hierarchically to the Global Sales Leader within Project Business and functionally to the Project Business Execution Team Head. The position is based in France, on a permanent contract.

What will you do?

• Define and lead Hager’s global contractor strategy, value proposition, and differentiated approach to making this customer segment a sustainable growth engine.
• Design cross-market engagement frameworks that strengthen contractor preference, improve share of wallet, and accelerate profitable Project Business opportunities.
• Build Hager’s preferred-supplier positioning through scalable customer solutions, services, tools, and strategic contractor partnerships.
• Coordinate senior leaders, Market Areas, sales, marketing, digital, supply chain, and service teams while keeping local commercial ownership clear.
• Establish governance and performance management to share best practices, build capabilities, and measure business impact across markets.

What about you?

• You hold a Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA would be an advantage.
• You bring at least 10 years of international B2B commercial leadership experience, ideally within electrical distribution, construction technologies, building solutions, or a related sector.
• You have a proven track record in customer strategy, key account management, business development, or commercial transformation across multiple countries.
• You combine strong commercial and financial acumen with expertise in customer segmentation, value propositions, go-to-market strategy, CRM, analytics, and performance management.
• You are a strategic, customer-focused leader who influences senior and operational stakeholders, builds cross-functional networks, challenges the status quo, and turns strategy into measurable results. You bring an entrepreneurial mindset and the resilience to build a strategy from the ground up, navigating ambiguity and influencing others without direct authority.
• You are fluent in English and French.
