Role Purpose

The Global Commercial Learning Manager is focused on on-going learning and development for Corning’s sales employees. Corning has recently adopted the Richardson Accelerated Sales Performance System (ASPS). This role owns the ASPS platform today, drives adoption, scaling, and application in partnership with HR business partners, managers, and commercial leaders, and helps shape the next phase of sales capability development beyond the platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with commercial and sales leaders and HR business partners to understand capability gaps, align learning priorities, and ensure sales development efforts support business outcomes.
  • Work with HR business partners to identify users, track progress, drive adoption, and collect feedback on ASPS platform.
  • Collaborate with managers of employees in the ASPS platform to ensure managers are partnering in employee development, monitoring progress on the ASPS platform, and employee learning is applied on the job.
  • Communicate program updates, success stories, and impact metrics to senior stakeholders.
  • Administer the ASPS platform, with the assistance of a training coordinator, to onboard new users, track progress, drive engagement, schedule classes, and monitor enrollment.
  • Partner with Richardson on use of platform and delivery of selling skills classes.
  • Define and track program metrics that measure adoption, behavior change, application on the job, and business impact—not just completion.
  • Determine opportunities to expand development beyond ASPS platform to build core sales competencies, accelerate revenue growth, and enhance customer engagement.
  • Implement tools, programs, or frameworks that address these development needs in alignment with HR business partners and commercial leaders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in sales training program management
  • Expertise in selling skills and selling methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and influence cross-functional stakeholders, and translate business needs into scalable learning solutions
