Within the AstraZeneca Cell Therapy Enterprise,our ambition istorealizethe full potential of cell therapy for people living with cancer, immune-mediatedand rare diseases around the world.This unit has responsibility for the value chain from discovery through to late-stage development and commercialization. We are rapidly progressing a broad pipeline of cell therapies in collaboration with AstraZeneca’s Therapeutic Area Units.

Your mainAccountabilities and tasks:

  • You are accountable forCell Therapy’scommercial strategyandits success.

  • You develop, shape, evolve,and implement resources and programs to support the fullrangeofcommerciallifecycle deliverables

  • You work with core markets to prepare for / deliver on allCell Therapycommercialization and launch programs

  • You build and shape capabilities in global and in markets to drivestate-of-the-artcommercialization

  • You contribute to the broader Therapeutic Area strategies across Oncology, Autoimmune Diseases, Hematology, andRarediseases

  • YourepresentCellTherapybusiness perspectives to cross functional teams, seniorexecutivesand governance committees, ensuring that commercialization priorities are appropriately considered.

  • Youwill expand and managethe global commercial team forCell Therapies

  • You collaborate withthe Strategy and Commercialextended team to delivera sustainable pricing and access strategy forallcell therapyindications

  • You contribute actively to advancing, accelerating,andsimplifying our working and partnering models and processes towards maximum value creation for patients, healthcare, societies,and AstraZeneca

Your education,knowledgeand experience

  • Undergraduate scientific background.  Medical and/or PhD / MBApreferred

  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical marketing experience

  • Profound understanding of drug development and commercialization inCell Therapy

  • Solid grasp of ongoing paradigm changes and future trends in healthcare commercialization

  • Proventrack recordof experience / accountability for business success in a major healthcare market

  • Broad commercial experience with proventrack recordof key commercialization deliveries (e.g.pre-launch / launch / HTA validation / long term business planning and business case development)

  • Strong strategic thinking, judgement and influencing skills

  • Strong leadership attributes to set direction, generate commitment, balanceshort- and long-termneeds, constructively resolve issues, integrate cross functional contributions

  • Proven experience and knowledge of a broad base of external partners and customers including patients, prescribers,payors,providersand in/out license partners.

  • Strong understanding of key commercialization and marketing skill sets

  • P&L Management

  • Experienced with key global regulations in the field of Healthcare and Medical compliance and commercialization as well as Pharmacovigilance

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $270,224 to $405,332. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
