Job Description

The Global Commercial Data & Analytics owns the customer, product, industry and commercial data foundations that underpin net sales, volume, pricing, margin, and performance decision‑making across the business.

This role ensures leaders operate from a single, consistent, and trusted view of customers, products, and commercial performance across reporting, analytics, and self‑service tools.

This is a high‑impact, hands‑on role for someone who enjoys turning complex, fragmented data into clarity. You will directly build, maintain, and evolve the commercial data foundations used by leaders worldwide, enabling more confident decisions on pricing, margin, customers, and product strategy.

Sitting at the intersection of finance, marketing, operations, analytics, and enterprise data initiatives, the role translates business logic into clean, governed, and usable commercial datasets.

What will you do:

Customer & Product Data Foundations

  • Build and maintain consistent customer master structures
  • Define, document, and manage product hierarchies and classification logic
  • Coordinate across teams and stakeholders to route issues, establish ownership, and drive resolution
  • Execute higher-risk data corrections, ensuring accuracy, and governance compliance
  • Resolve duplicates, inconsistencies, and misalignments across SAP, NHBA, OneStream, and reporting layers
  • Enrich commercial datasets with business‑relevant customer and product attributes to support analysis, segmentation, and decision‑making
  • Work closely with the Corporate Customer Master Data team and ensure alignment with enterprise customer and product data standards

Commercial Data Modeling

  • Design standardized datasets for:
    • Revenue and margin analysis
    • Pricing and discounting
    • Customer and product segmentation
  • Ensure consistent definitions across Power BI, ThoughtSpot, and management reporting

Segmentation & Classification

  • Develop and maintain customer, product, and industry segmentation logic
  • Apply primarily rule‑based approaches, with selective use of clustering where business‑relevant
  • Ensure segmentation is applied consistently across dashboards and self‑service analytics

Analytics Enablement

  • Build and maintain certified, trusted datasets used across the organization
  • Enable business users with stable, well‑structured commercial data
  • Act as the owner of the single version of truth for commercial analytics

Data Quality & Reconciliation

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between operational, financial, and reporting data
  • Act as the first point of triage when conflicting numbers arise
  • Maintain clear documentation of data logic, mappings, and KPI definitions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 8 years of experience in analytics or data‑oriented role
  • 5 years of SQL skills (data extraction, transformation, and validation)
  • 5years of experience with Power BI
  • 3 years of experience Master Data Management experience
  • Immigration sponsorship not available for this role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in manufacturing or industrial companies with complex, ERP‑driven data environments (products, customers, geographies, plants, assets, and cost structures)
  • Experience using data transformation tools (e.g., Alteryx) to automate data cleaning, validation, and repeatable logic
  • Proven ability to influence and coordinate cross‑functional teams without direct authority
  • Strong ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, exercise judgment, and drive issues to resolution
  • Demonstrated comfort working with ambiguity, including non‑standard or high‑risk data scenarios
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for analysis and reporting
  • Strong understanding of business processes and their upstream and downstream data impacts
  • Experience working with large, transactional datasets

Experience with ThoughtSpot or similar self‑service analytics platforms
