This role is designed for an experienced individual contributor who combines architectural vision with operational pragmatism. The Cloud Architect acts as a key internal reference point for cloud transformation initiatives, ensuring that cloud platforms are designed, governed, and operated according to enterprise standards, security requirements, and business needs within a 24x7 global environment.
The position plays a strategic role in strengthening Amplifon’s cloud capabilities by defining architecture principles, guiding migrations and modernization initiatives, and ensuring long‑term sustainability, resilience, and cost awareness of the cloud landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and maintain cloud architecture standards, design principles, and reference architectures across all supported public cloud platforms.
Define the technical direction and multi‑year roadmap for cloud transformation and migration initiatives, ensuring alignment with business strategy and IT target architecture.
Design cloud‑native, hybrid, and multi‑cloud solutions that balance scalability, security, resilience, and operational efficiency.
Support cloud provider rationalization and standardization, identifying opportunities to reduce complexity and improve governance.
Cloud Operations & Governance
Provide architectural oversight for cloud operations delivered internally and through external CloudOps partners, ensuring alignment with defined standards and operating models.
Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of the cloud operating model, including roles, responsibilities, escalation paths, and service boundaries.
Ensure alignment with ITIL‑based service management practices, supporting service transitions, vendor onboarding/offboarding, and KPI/SLA governance.
Act as an escalation and design authority for complex operational or cross‑cloud issues in a 24x7 global context.
Automation, Reliability & Security by Design
Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and standard deployment patterns to improve consistency, reliability, and speed.
Ensure cloud solutions are designed in compliance with security, IAM, network segmentation, backup, disaster recovery, vulnerability management, and incident response requirements.
Work closely with Cybersecurity teams to embed security‑by‑design and compliance‑by‑default principles across the cloud estate.
Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement
Act as a trusted technical advisor for internal customers, IT teams, and external partners, translating business needs into robust cloud architectures.

Provide mentoring and technical guidance to cloud engineers and platform teams, fostering architectural maturity and shared best practices.
