Job Description



The Global Category Manager – Electronics is responsible for defining and executing global category strategies for electronic components (e.g., PCBAs, electrical components, motors). The role ensures cost competitiveness, supply security, and strong supplier performance while supporting business needs, including new product development. He or she will be required to based in Shanghai China.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for electronics categories, aligned with business and product requirements
  • Lead supplier selection, RFQ processes, and contract negotiations to achieve best value and performance
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships, driving improvements in quality, delivery, and cost
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to support production and NPD activities
  • Drive cost optimisation initiatives (TCO, VA/VE, should-costing) and supplier development
  • Ensure supplier qualification, risk management, and compliance with Rotork procurement processes

Profile

  • Degree in Engineering, Electronics, or Supply Chain
  • Experience in procurement/category management within electronics or industrial manufacturing
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

  • 8+ years in procurement or category management within direct materials
  • Experience leading global and regional sourcing projects and supplier negotiations.
  • Strong commercial acumen, contract management expertise, and analytical capability.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Ability to balance strategic (global) and operational (regional) priorities.
  • Proficiency with ERP and procurement systems; strong Excel/analytics skills
  • English business fluent and Chinese speaker.
