The role ensures that global processes, systems, and ways of working are successfully implemented and embedded across the organization while delivering the expected operational, organizational, and financial benefits.

Working closely with Global Process Owners, business leaders, and implementation partners, the GBO translates the approved global process direction into business-area priorities, operating model changes, organizational readiness activities, and measurable business outcomes. The role owns adoption, benefit realization, and transformation success within the assigned business area while ensuring alignment with the global standards defined by the Global Process Owners.

Core Responsibilities

Governance & Strategy

  • Own the business outcome, scope, priorities, transformation roadmap, target operating model, and benefit case for Global Supply Chain, aligned with Project EQUIP and Ambu Zoom Ahead strategy.
  • Represent Global Supply Chain in program governance, make timely decisions within the agreed mandate, resolve cross-functional trade-offs, and escalate material scope, cost, timeline, compliance, resource, or continuity issues.

Process Optimization & Value

  • Confirm the as-is baseline and define future-state requirements, roles, controls, and ways of working. Simplify, harmonize, and automate processes while removing unnecessary local variation, manual work, and fragmented tools.
  • Prioritize improvement opportunities and own benefit realization with Finance and the relevant process owners, ensuring that value hypotheses, KPIs, and accountabilities are clear.

Business Transformation & Adoption

  • Act as Business case lead within our transformation.
  • Mobilize Global Process Leads, Local Responsibles, and subject matter experts; secure functional capacity, clarify decision rights, remove delivery barriers, and ensure business representatives are empowered.
  • Sponsor stakeholder engagement, communications, organization and role impacts, training, deployment readiness, cutover, stabilization, and transition into sustainable business ownership.

Compliance, Data & Readiness

  • Partner with Quality, Regulatory, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure that processes, controls, data, and systems meet applicable quality, validation, regulatory, information security, and continuity requirements.
  • Own business rules, data-quality expectations, acceptance criteria, and functional readiness recommendations. Ensure critical scenarios are covered in design, testing, deployment, and post-go-live monitoring.

Key Deliverables

  • Mobilization: Confirm business-area priorities, stakeholders, decision mandate, governance, and resource plan.
  • Plan and design: Approve the baseline, pain points, global design principles, future roles, requirements, controls, and prioritized value opportunities.
  • Build and test: Provide empowered experts, approve key business rules and design decisions, and ensure adequate coverage of critical scenarios and acceptance criteria.
  • Deploy: Approve functional readiness, cutover, continuity, communications, training, and adoption activities, including relevant local constraints.
  • Stabilize and realize: Own adoption, process performance, control effectiveness, KPI and benefit tracking, and handover to permanent process ownership.

Required Experience & Capabilities

  • 10+ years of leadership experience within Global Supply Chain, with strong knowledge of global operations and end-to-end process interdependencies.
  • Proven track record leading large-scale business transformation, organizational change, or enterprise-wide ERP-enabled transformation initiatives.
  • Experience defining and implementing target operating models, governance structures, organizational redesign, and new ways of working across global organizations.
  • Experience building business cases, tracking benefits, and delivering measurable organizational, operational, and financial improvements.
  • Demonstrated success driving stakeholder adoption, business readiness, and change management across global organizations.
  • Strong understanding of ERP-enabled business processes, operating model transformation, and end-to-end process interdependencies.
  • Experience working within manufacturing, medical devices, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or similarly complex and regulated environments.
  • Proven ability to balance business objectives, operational efficiency, standardization, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Experience partnering with ERP implementation programmes, Systems Integrators, and technology teams while maintaining a strong focus on business outcomes and value realization.
  • Strong executive stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence leaders across functions, regions, and sites.

Leadership Qualities

Strong executive presence, judgment, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. Able to bridge business and technology, influence senior leadership, create clarity across functions and sites, challenge established practices constructively, and work effectively in a complex global matrix. Flexibility to travel internationally during design, pilot, deployment, and stabilization phases.
