Job Description

The Global Bid Management Lead plays a pivotal role in developing, growing, and retaining international business by leading and overseeing a high-performing bid management function. Acting as the central pillar of the bidding ecosystem, this role is responsible for motivating and directing remote, cross-functional teams and senior leaders across various geographies. The lead manages multiple ongoing bids simultaneously under tight client timelines, maintaining a high level of customer focus and structural governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Project Management: Establish and run the program management for each bid, which includes developing comprehensive bid plans, organizing/chairing core team meetings, and managing multiple ongoing tenders simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
  • Risk & Governance Control: Serve as the single point of contact for internal clarification, proactively identifying, tracking, escalating, and resolving risks. Ensure the bid team strictly follows internal governance and approval processes to guarantee timely decision-making.
  • Bid Response & Content Management: Oversee the development of RFI/RFP response drafts, presentation materials, and client communications. Create response templates, establish timetables, and guide experts in developing their assigned sections, ensuring high-quality content and design.
  • Strategic Alignment & Modern Sourcing: Coordinate with sales leads to prepare Opportunity Assessments (Go/No-Go materials). Maintain the bid library, leveraging AI tools balanced with a human touch to repurpose relevant materials and translate market insights into winning strategies.

Requirements

  • Academic & Professional Background: Graduate caliber, ideally with a degree in Sales, Marketing, Operations, or Business, complemented by 5+ years of experience within a professional bidding environment.
  • Management & Leadership Skills: Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and organize in time-sensitive settings. Experience managing and motivating remote, cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders is essential; previous supervisory experience is a significant plus.
  • Tech-Forward Mindset: Demonstrated ability to understand and apply cutting-edge technology to improve bid efficiency, including generative/agentic AI, proposal automation, and advanced CRM tools.
  • Market Insight & Strategic Awareness: Strong grasp of corporate go-to-market strategies and the competitive landscape, with the ability to apply this knowledge to enhance service propositions and add value to sales strategies.
  • Expertise in Bid Production: Sound experience in document development, production, and design for large-scale bids, alongside the ability to work independently while effectively drawing upon global corporate resources.
