INVESTMENT BANKING

Investment banking works on some of the most complex financial challenges and transactions in the market today. Whether advising on a merger, providing financial solutions for an acquisition, or structuring an initial public offering, we handle projects that help clients at major milestones. We work with corporations, financial sponsors, and governments and are team of strong analytical thinkers, who have a passion for producing out-of-the-box ideas

OUR IMPACT

Our Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) Group in Asia-ex-Japan advises clients across all technological verticals, including internet, software, AI, robotics, digital infrastructure, gaming, telecom, media & entertainment, e-commerce, hardware, semiconductors, electronics, etc. We provide advise across the entire financial product spectrum, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, financial investments, structured products, and restructurings.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITES

  • Develop analysis and presentations through industry research and financial modeling for clients in the TMT sector with regards to financing, and M&A strategy.
  • Use financial, economic and statistical data, to build proprietary financial models.
  • Perform corporate finance analyses on transactions including pro forma merger scenarios, leveraged buyouts, public listings and financing alternatives, using discounted cash flow, sum of the parts, public comparable and precedent transactions analyses
  • Analyze accounting and regulatory statements, debt and equity filings and documents, financial projections and models, and provide financial / economic advice
  • Support live deal execution, including due diligence processes, drafting prospectuses and other marketing materials, commenting on legal documents with lawyers and other working parties, organizing and attending deal and non-deal roadshows, and liaising with other investment banks, legal counsels, accountants, and other advisors.
  • Support client dialogue by liaising with senior bankers and product experts throughout the firm to address financial, market, or economic needs
  • Interact with client management teams and working groups to execute projects, provide updates and advice

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • 2-5 years of corporate finance / corporate advisory (or related) experience, ideally in TMT
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with experience in financial modelling and financial statements analysis
  • Deep intellectual curiosity and adaptability towards different TMT sub-sectors and businesses
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-pace environment
  • Team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Commercial sensitivity with ability to exercise judgement with respect to highly confidential information
  • Fluency in Mandarin is a plus
