Job Description

YOUR IMPACT

Our Equity Derivative Middle Office team is seeking an experienced professional who is diligent, analytical, and possesses the

technical ability to drive process improvements and automation across the trade lifecycle. You will collaborate with the front-to-back

execution chain—including Trading, Strats, Controllers, Legal, Engineering, and Sales—to facilitate the execution of complex

transactions and infrastructure changes. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of the Equity Derivatives

franchise by managing operational effectiveness and partnering in the evolution of execution platforms. As the business expands into

innovative technology and new product areas, your expertise in derivatives and workflow optimization will be critical to capitalizing

on market opportunities.

OUR IMPACT

Global Markets Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales,

trading, and asset management capabilities to clients worldwide. Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides

essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and reputation. Operations spans all product lines

and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop the processes and help specify the systems that deliver accuracy,

timeliness, and integrity to our business.

BUSINESS UNIT OVERVIEW

EMEA Global Markets Equity Derivative Operations provides middle office, business development, and product support to the Equity

Derivative businesses across EMEA.

The team provides deep subject matter expertise in trade capture, booking, review, and confirmation across various desks, with a

tactical focus on Strategic Derivatives. This includes the end-to-end operational management of:

▪ Share Buybacks: Supporting corporate clients in executing repurchase programs.

▪ Funded Collars: Managing complex hedging and monetization structures.

▪ Margin Loans: Overseeing credit-contingent equity financing and collateral management.

The role is characterized by a blend of business development, implementation, and relationship management. Situated adjacent to

the trading teams, the team connects revenue-generating desks to global support teams, performing pre-trade feasibility analysis

and ensuring operational readiness for high-value, bespoke transactions.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

In our London headquarters, you will provide pre and post-execution support and lifecycle oversight for new and existing business.

Responsibilities will include:

▪ Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the primary operational lead for Strategic Derivative products, including share buybacks,

funded collars, and margin loans.

▪ Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to eliminate manual touchpoints; design and implement

automated solutions to enhance scalability and reduce operational risk.

▪ Senior Stakeholder Communication: Distil complex derivative structures and operational challenges into simplified,

actionable insights for senior management and control forums.

▪ Strategic Partnership: Become a key relationship manager for risk-taking desks, collaborating with Trading, Sales,

Structuring, and Engineering to drive infrastructure builds.

▪ Lifecycle Management: Proactively manage the lifecycle of long-term transactions, ensuring accuracy in trade capture and

adherence to regulatory requirements.

▪ Project Leadership: Independently drive new product ideas and strategic initiatives across markets, ensuring front-to-back

operational readiness.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

▪ Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in financial services (Middle Office or Operations preferred).

▪ Team Player: Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment, fostering collaboration and collective

accountability.

▪ Communication Excellence: Ability to post and communicate complex subject matter to a senior audience in a simplified,

clear, and professional manner.

▪ Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail and the ability to manage

competing priorities in a high-pressure environment.

▪ Technical Aptitude: Experience in driving automation or process re-engineering (e.g., using Python, Alteryx, or similar tools)

is highly desirable.

▪ Integrity and passion for working in a fast-paced, competitive global environment
