As an Associate within the Credit Product Delivery team, you drive end‑to‑end execution for lending and trade finance transactions. You partner with bankers and trade sales to provide client‑focused support while maintaining a robust risk and control framework. You coordinate across credit, legal, compliance, tax, and operations to ensure seamless documentation and deal closing. You help refine processes and collaborate with regional and global teams to deliver superior service for commercial and investment banking clients.
Credit Product Delivery is a middle office transaction management function dedicated to lending and trade finance. We deliver timely, client‑focused service while upholding strong controls, partnering closely with stakeholders across regions to ensure consistent, high‑quality execution.
Job responsibilities
Drive end-to-end execution of lending and trade finance transactions, ensuring transparency, accountability, and timely resolution
Oversee the negotiation, drafting, review, and execution of legal documentation, including facility agreements, credit support, security documents, corporate authorizations, and ancillary finance documents
Manage the deal closing process, including sourcing and reviewing client constitutional documents and performing conditions precedent checks
Liaise directly with clients and their legal counsel, external law firms, facility agents and internal stakeholders including Banker/Sales, Credit Risk, Legal, Tax, and Operations to support the negotiation and execution of documentation for bilateral and syndicated facilities
Operate within the internal controls framework, preparing and coordinating approvals for documentation deviations
Coordinate and lead deal teams as needed, facilitating smooth execution and transaction completion, under the guidance of senior team members
Provide support to bankers and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and effective problem resolution
Support wider Credit Product Delivery projects and initiatives, identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements by identifying and resolving operational, financial, and technology issues promptly
Participate in training and development opportunities to build knowledge and skills relevant to the role
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor’s degree
At least 3 years of experience in operations, credit administration, credit documentation, transaction management, or credit execution in banking
Strong credit and documentation knowledge across lending agreements
Proactive self‑starter with ability to multi‑task and manage delivery timelines
Fluency in Japanese, verbal, written, and spoken, to communicate with Japanese stakeholders
Business‑level communication in English to collaborate with regional teams
Problem‑solving mindset with willingness to contribute to change initiatives and drive implementation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Internship or prior work experience with law firms, in‑house legal teams, legal support teams, or paralegal roles
Knowledge of lending and trade finance products and associated legal agreements
